Soarview have a plan, like Arqiva, to reallocate multiplexes to different channels as part of the 5G adjustments. They are working together to ensure that there is no interference between any channels.
At some stage, Soarview viewers will be required to retune as is happening with Freeview viewers.

Mr J K:
May I recommend that you use the channel allocation information provided by Digital UK on their Coverage Checker web page. That is maintained by Arqiva who afre responsible for the operation of all the UK transmitters.

You could replace the Sky+ box with a Freesat PVR, which will enable you to view all the available Freesat channels and be able to record them. As your Sky box is a Plus type and not a Sky Q tpe, you would not need to do anything to your dish or LNB, merelt swap the boxes and then set up the Freesat box with your post code (to get the local news) and complete the required settings.
Good Freesat boxes are available but avoid the cheaper ones, they do not have a good reputation.

4G uses parts of the spectrum that will not be used for digital television transmissions. The point us that these are being moved away from any 4G transmissions and sited below 700MHz where they should not be subject to interference from other transmissions. Surprisingly few people have had problems with the presence of 4G signals, especially those whose local transmitter uses the lower channels well below channel 60. Therefore there is no expectation of the disaster you fear.

Without a full post code it is impossible to help. Please ask others at the site if they know the post code. There is more than one Robin Hoods Bay in the UK so you could be anywhere, hence the need for the full post code. It could be that the storm has damage your aerial system?

That depends on exactly where you live, so please provide a full post code. Only then can we see what the expected receptions conditions are at you location. Note that indoor aerials rarely give good reception, especially if you are more than a few miles from the transmitter.

There has been no change in the output power transmitted by Crystal Palace. Please provide a full post code so that we can check the expected reception conditions at your location. You could also help us by checking what the reported signals strengths are on all the multiplexes.

There are no plans for the commercial broadcasters to provide any services on the Freevoiew Light transmitters such as Glengorm. They have to pay for the transmissions and if they don't consider that to be commecially viable then they will not invest in a service that reaches too few people to be viable.

Phil Squires:
You are only 7 km from the transmitter at Beacon Hill and are predicted to have excellent reception of all 6 multiplexes. At that short distance it could be that you have too much sifnal strength, so please check the strengths reported on your television. Ideally they should all be between 60% and 85%. Any less shows there is a fault in your aerial system. Any more shows you need to reduce that by fitting a suitable coaxial attenuator. Search this website for 'Too much of a good thing' and follow the advice there.

Despite recent engineering work, Carmel transmitter is operating normally. I suspect you may have a problem with your aerial connections so please check all the cables for damage or water ingress. Then unplug all coaxial connections and refit. Then check that you are tuned to the correct channels for the multiplexes and that your signal strengths are between 60% and 85%,
