My Uncle lives in Kettering and reports no signal problems at his location on the south side of the town.

The mapping shows you as using the Long Mountain transmitter and not that at Winter Hill. Long Mountian is shown as having maintenance work curreintly and thay mau well account for your currently reception problems.

There is no such thing as a 'digital' aerial. All UHF Band 4 or 5 transmissions traditionally used for television transmission need some form or aerial, either a yagi or a modified yagi or a log-periodic type, aimed at the transmission source. The encoding of the RF signals makes absolutely no difference to how the aerial responds to the received signals so they will all work equally well with digital and analogue encoded signals irrespective of any label on the aerial. I have been on the TV industry for 50 years before retiring, working in the manufacturing and service sides. I also hold an MSc in Electronics which includes research into signal reception problems.
Aerials labelled as being 'digital' tend to be charged at a higher price merely because of the word 'digital' in the name but they are a waste of money.
If you try a test using a 'digital' aerial and a standard 'analogue' aerial of the same pattern and number of elements you will find the signal received is the same on both!

BT Sport channels are now only available for a subscription in the UK. They were only 'free' to internet customers of BT for a time but they have now introduced a feee for the service.

Mr Wright:
It would have been helpful if had given a full [ost code. Then we could see where you are in relation to the transmitters. Dover is rather a long way from Maldon, the transmitter being SSE of your approximate location. The Crystal Palace transmitter, in south London, is much more powerful and gives relevant services for the whole of the London area.
Your Wide Band aerial will probably be suitable for all Freeview services from any transmitter that can be received at your location.
Further comments dependent on your post code.

Mr Wright:
Just noticed that you gacve a suitable post code. Youy are way too far away from Dover in Kent.
Have your aerial turned so you receive from Crystal Palace and do a retune. You should then check the signal strength as you do not want any multiplex to be received at more than 75% strength and not less than 50%, both to much and too little signal will give reception problems and your aerial may have too high a gain for relaible reception.

Give over, mate. Admit that you are in a minority and let's get on with helping people with reception problems.

Nick is entitled to write what he tinks is appropriate. I happen to disagree with you on this but don't bother to reply.

Looking at the mapping and transmitter recommendations, you are in a spot that can have difficulties due to the terrain (hills, etc) and possibly buildings. The transmitters available are Rowridge and Hannington (west of Basingstoke).
Have a look to see which direction your aerial is pointing. If it is about due North, then it is looking at Hannington. If it is pointing roughly south west then it is looking at Rowridge. Which transmitter were you using at the previous address? It may be that the aerial at the formner address is aimed at a different transmitter, so it may be worth doing a full retune.
There may also be some issues with 4G signals. If you look at the mapping on Freeview reception at PO31+ 7DQ and zoom in to your home area you will see that there are several mobile masts close by, some may be carrying 4G services. It may be worth contacting at800, their contact details are at https://at800.tv/contact-us/. If it is likely that you are being affected by 4G signals, they will send you a free filter to fit into your aerial lead.
Let us know if any of that helps.

We need to know where you are before we can advise. A full postcode will show us which transmitter would be best and what the reception might be like. Indoor aerials are rarely much good unless you are quite close to a transmitter.
