John berry: Your BT Freeview box has obviously picked up and stored BBC from Crystal Palace on Mux Ch23 rather than BBC from Hannington on Mux Ch45, BBC1 South being broadcast by the latter.
If your box has a manual tuning facility? the easiest way of getting over the problem without upsetting anything else already stored is simply by tuning in Mux Ch45, although this method will result in BBC1 having an 800 / 801 EPG number as EPG1 is already used.
If this is found to be somewhat inconvenient, you don't really have much option other than to manually tune in each of Hanningtons Mux channels one at a time, storing the result of each scan.
Hannington's channels as follows.
45 - 42 - 39 - 41 - 44 - 47 - 32 - 34
By the way, there is another procedure (which sometimes works) whereby you first of all blank out everything already stored in the box by carrying out an auto-scan "after" having removed the aerial connection, the next stage being to carry out a second auto-scan "minus the aerial", but reinserting same a short time after the scan has started, the idea being, that "if" you have timed it correctly you will have bypassed storing Crystal Palaces channels, "hopefully" only having stored those from Hannington.

Barry Dowson: The number of channels lost by switching to your local "Esh" Freeview light transmitter can easily be seen under "Mux", accessed by scrolling upwards to "Which Freeview channels does the Pontop Pike transmitter broadcast?" at the top of this section, everything in the Mux list from COM4/SDN downwards being lost.

Angela Hall: Sutton Coldfield is listed on the engineering page under the status of "possible weak signal", therefore its most inadvisable to carry out a retune on any of your Freeview devices whilst the station is operating in this state as programme channels already stored might be lost, as the level required to store a channel is generally higher than that required to view it if already stored, a peculiarity of digital reception.
As far as some of your devices receiving OK and others not is concerned, Freeview receivers vary in sensitivity between different brands / models etc, and so I wouldn't place to much importance to this "if" said devices are all fed from a powered distribution amplifier.
Needless to say, the problem will be rectified in due course on completion of the engineering work being carried out.

Noel mcnamee : When you say "tried all the normal stuff", does that include changing the batteries in the remote control? and also disconnecting the box from the mains for a minute or so before powering it up again?
However, should you have tried replacing the batteries in the remote control with no effect, then the controls IR (infrared) sender might have failed, and easy way to check being to point the control at a digital camera whilst viewing its LCD screen, pressing the control should appear as a white blob on the LCD screen.
Of course that only tests the actual IR sender, and not if its sending any control codes.
It would also be of assistance to know the model of box being referred to.

c button: Should there be any suspicion that 4G transmissions are possibly responsible for your problem, then contact a company called at800 as seen on the undermentioned link, as they have up to date info on any 4G installations that may have taken place in your area, likewise if verified, will send you a filter for your aerial system totally free of charge, said filter being inserted in line with your TV's aerial input socket.

Gary: The only difference between RF1 and RF2 outputs on a Sky box is that the latter output offers a switchable 9 volts power on/off facility, the purpose of being to enable the channel being viewed on the Sky box in a second location to be changed via a device called a "magic eye" installed in said location, as apart from that both outputs are identical.
As far as your grainy picture is concerned, go into the boxes set up menu and change the RF output channel you are using to 38, not forgetting to retune the TV used in the other location to match the change, as channel 41 is the Mux channel used by Londonderry's Freeview HD transmitter, this being the most likely reason for the problem with the "analogue" picture.

Alan Rowen: The "Bike" channel can already be viewed on a Sky (no card) guide number 464.
As far as 5300 on a Freesat box is concerned, this is not a fixed EPG number, but one that the box might allocate the channel against dependant on the number of channels that have been "manually" tuned in with the Freesat box set to operate in the "Non-Freesat" mode.
The parameters required to view the channel being as follows, these having to be entered in to Non-Freesat manual tuning menu.

Polarity: H
Symbol Rate: 27.5
FEC: 2/3

Dave: Mux C21 can only be received by Freeview devices fitted with DVB-T2 (HD) tuners, as C21 is an HD multiplex, the fact of you not being able to receive it inclined to suggest that none of your TV's / boxes are capable of receiving HD signals, as if they were, then you would also be able to receive Mux C33 and Mux C34, both those also being HD multiplexes.

david reeve: If the previous owner of the property has left the dish in situ, which applies in about 99% of cases, then you are perfectly free to use it for Freesat reception without having to contact anyone, as the activation referred to only applies to viewing card used in a Sky box in order to access programmes dedicated to those associated with one of their Sky packages.
By the way, Sky boxes are still able to receive a huge range of Freesat channels without any viewing card being required, the only purpose the standard (once of payment 25 or so) viewing card serves being to enable the receiver to allocate local news / adverts appropriate to the area a viewer happens to reside in.
Another point to note being, that if the Sky box used by the previous owner was of the Sky+ (recording) variety, witnessed by two leads from the dish, then this would enable you to purchase a Freesat twin tuner recorder rather than just a receiver.
