Below are all of Mark Fletcher's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Re:Keith Portress. The TV channels you described 11,19,82,are all on ArqA frequency 53 along with ArqB on frequency 60,are both transmitting at present on 4kw due to 2 of Tacolneston's Mux's,A and 2 currently broadcasting on frq's 53 & 60 respectively there, hence both Belmont (now fully digital) and Tacolneston (due for digital switchover in November 2011) frequencies clashing on 53 & 60.After Wednesday 23 November 2011 when Tacolneston becomes all-digital,2 of their current frequencies which i mentioned 53 & 60 will be reallocated to frequencies 42 (Mux A becoming SDN) and 59 (Mux 2 becoming D3+4) there ending the frequencies clash as such, thus enabling the 2 currently under strength Belmont Mux's,ArqA (ch 53) and ArqB (ch60) to increase its power to 100kw,by then.

Nedbod.Sutton Coldfield commenced its first stage final switchover in the early hours of Wednesday 7 September 2011 when their BBC2 analogue signal was permanently switched off,and the high powered multiplex BBCA Mux on ch 43,was switched on to maximum 200kw power. You will have to wait until the early hours of Wednesday 21 September 2011 when Sutton Coldfield's final four remaining analogue stations BBC1,ITV1,C4,C5,are forever turned off and becomes totally digital before Winter Hill's ArqB multiplex on ch 55 increases strength from the present 12.5kw to a maximum 100kw.This is because Sutton Coldfield is still transmitting Mux D/soon to be renamed ArqB on ch 55 (relocating to ch 39 after DSO2) hence the clashing with Winter Hill Mux ArqB also on ch 55,until the second and last final stage switchover there on Wednesday 21 September 2011.

Richard. No,none of Winter Hill's Mux's will be briefly turned off after midnight, only the ArqB Mux will see its power increased soon after Sutton Coldfield's analogue transmissions is forever switched off in the early hours of Wednesday 21 September 2011,and only then soon after once their remaining 5 new multiplexes are switched on.This could be as early as 1am or as late as possibly 6pm when the ArqB mux on Winter Hill's ch 55 frequency is increased to maximum 100kw power.

mike Roberts.Yes,Sutton Coldfield's analogue signals are now gone forever as they too along with Emley Moor are both switching to full digital transmissions.Over at Wigan you're ok because you're receiving Winter Hill transmissions, but not Emley Moor at present which i have manually scanned at least every 15 minutes (last scan 0215) and it is still off the air fully until at least 6am,as Briantist mentioned earlier. At present while im texting in,i am currently watching my TV from the Belmont transmitter on the Freeview platform,as well as oddly enough attempting to receive Mux's from the Winter Hill transmitter where i live in Halifax, which i can pick up (some of them) very well but with a set-top aerial,an amplifier having to be used this time (for Winter Hill only) and having to hold the aerial in my hand to pick them up (arm aching in the process),and worse still once the Holmfield local relay nearby where i reside is switched on later today, their frequencies on ch55 D3+4,ch59 BBCA,ch62 BBCB,may possibly clash with Winter Hill Mux's ArqB on ch55,D3+4 on ch59,BBCA on ch62,a potential single frequency interference issue here, thus only the potential to receive 2 of Winter Hill's Mux's SDN on ch58 and ArqA on ch61 (no BBCB on ch54 as my freeview box is non-HD),i feel i may as well give up on Winter Hill altogether.PS-Emley Moor's BBCA Mux on ch47 while i was composing this text is now back on once again !
