Dave,Brighton.The remaining four analogue channels BBC1,ITV1,C4,C5,will be switched off in no particular order depending on which mast you're using.Sometimes the ending of a programme could be an indicator but no guarantee can be given.The word suspense should be the norm as say C4 could go first,then BBC1,followed by C5 and finally ITV1 possibly.One indicator before analogue signal goes permanently is a sudden decrease in analogue signal strength and if you blink you could miss it,the analogue signal is turned off suddenly.Keep flicking the analogue channels quickly that's all i will say ?

Andrew Packer,Doncaster DN5.One other option to receieve the ArqA (fr 53) and ArqB (fr 60) multiplexes from Belmont is to diplex your aerial.In other words use your current group A (tipped red) aerial for the BBCA (fr 22),D3+4 (fr 25),SDN (fr 30) and if you have it BBCB (HD) (fr 28) multiplexes,and diplex with another antenna,either a group C/D (tipped green),a group E (tipped brown) or a group W wideband (tipped black) aerial.Is your local BBC 1 Look North broadcasting East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire news (Belmont).The problem with Belmont although officially a group W wideband aerial transmitter is that all but two multiplexes are on group A frequencies and group W widebands antennas have an inferior performance on group A frequencies especially on all group A transmitters say Crystal Palace,Durris,Caradon Hill and Rowridge as examples.One further problem with Belmont's ArqB on frequency 60 once 4G starts is the potential for interference on this multiplex especially if frequency 61 is used as such.

Ian.Hoddesdon,EN11 9NS.Sorry for not responding soon enough.I take it you are on Crystal Palace using a group A horizontally polarised aerial (tipped red).If as you stated Quest (on channel 38,frequency 32,Mux A multiplex)was unavailable (as at Tue 6 Mar 2012) but shows up on your programme guide one possibility could be atmospherics/inversion issues around the south east of England between 6-9 March 2012 as some on the Crystal Palace page have been having issues with both analogue and the presently lower pre-digital powered signals during this time.Try a full reset first,then complete a full automatic scan with the aerial unplugged the result no channels will be found.Once this step is completed plug your aerial back in then rescan again either an automatic scan or if this fails again try manual scanning the multiplexes in,Mux 2 on channel 22,Mux 1 on channel 25,Mux B on channel 28,Mux D on channel 29,the pre-DSO lower powered BBCB multiplex on channel 31 (if you have HD),Mux A on channel 32 and Mux C on channel 34.

Rich75.Buckley (Bwcle),CH7 1SX.Sorry for not responding soon enough.Are you using the nearer Moel-Y-Parc transmitter (BBC1 Wales & ITV1 Wales) or the further Winter Hill transmitter (BBC1 North West & ITV1 Granada),or even both ? Judging by your comments you must be using Winter Hill as if you were using Moel-Y-Parc only around 8 miles from your location you would not need to use a new masthead amplifier that replaced your signal booster.If you are using Winter Hill try bringing down your now bedroom set,plug the aerial in this set then scan (automatic or manual) it should work then return TV back upstairs again.Or try rescanning with the masthead amplifier turned off then once completed switch masthead amplifier back on again.Give it a try either way !

Dr T J Purnell.Petworth,GU28 0RA.Hopefully you should still be able to (just initially) receive the group C/D horizontally polarised ArqB multiplex i believe you're referring to come the early hours of tomorrow morning Wednesday 14 March 2012 when the four remaining analogue stations BBC1,ITV1,Channel's 4 & 5 are forever switched off and the 20kw higher powered DSO2 signals on D3+4,BBCB (HD) and SDN are switched on.BBCA (20kw) already switched on Wednesday 29 February 2012.However if you look carefully above "After switchover frequency notes" it states that ArqA will until further notice be reactive power restricted to 5kw "if required",while ArqB will until further notice be restricted to 1kw.I believe this until further notice could last up to the early hours of Wednesday 27 June 2012 as some South/South East England main transmitters and their dependent relays are either already fully switched,Hannington just recently,(some with restrictions such as the commercial multiplexes at both Sudbury and Oxford presently),in the process of going fully digital Midhurst tomorrow (Wed 14 Mar 2012) and Rowridge (on Wed 21 March 2012),or soon to switch such as Crystal Palace (Wed 4/18 Apr 2012),Heathfield (Wed 30 May/13 Jun 2012) and both Bluebell Hill and Dover main transmitters at the same time (Wed 13/27 Jun 2012).

Joanne.Barnsley S71 3BB.Parts of Barnsley is covered by both Emley Moor (already switched) and Bilsdale (due to switch Wed 12/26 Sep 2012).It is possible you may have picked up Bilsdale instead and as Bilsdale is still broacasting both analogue and lower powered pre-DSO signals,their latter especially is more prone to pixellations,picture break ups and no signal mode plus it is also more distant.Im not sure about Bilsdale whether it uses the region "Teeside and North Yorks",but if you prefer Emley Moor transmissions instead tune in to this region "Yorkshire" instead.If however you prefer Bilsdale transmissions more so once this transmitter switches to high powered DSO signals come 12/26 September 2012 then if your signals are weak now try come digital switchover.One possible other scenario is that Belmont instead of Bilsdale might have been picked up instead.
