ron: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc. Do not attempt to retune as this will cause all of your correctly tuned channels to be deleted before searching for them again, leaving you with no way of knowing when the problem is fixed.

All free TV channels in the UK

Mike P: Every transmitter broadcasts the PSB3 mux carrying the main PSB HD channels and they all have since DSO completed in 2012. There are zero transmitters where no HD channels are available (provided a TV or PVR/set top box with a DVB-T2 tuner is being used).

Neil Stone: Unfortunately it's been broken for ages now. You can still access transmitter coverage maps and service info from other pages.

MikeP: As discussed before, the term Full HD refers to the resolution of a display. Using it to refer to multiplexes available from transmitters (or anything else) is likely to confuse people. There won't be any expansion of COM7 or COM8 so I'm not sure why you mention "as yet" where you seem to be suggesting that more services will be added, when neither Ofcom nor any broadcaster or multiplex operator has announced any plans to increase coverage of any service (they all appear to have confirmed that there are no plans to expand coverage of any multiplex).

Kevin McIntyre: There are no faults showing for Sandy Heath (and if there was a problem there would be a lot of people complaining). It's far more likely that something has gone wrong with your aerial system. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, then work your way back towards the aerial as far as you can safely access.

Richard Keirle: I suspect you're referring to the Logical Channel Numbers (LCN) rather than frequencies changing, although there is still no shuffling of LCNs every few weeks. When channels close, other channels will take their number (with priority given to other channels belonging to the same broadcaster, then neighbouring channels), if this didn't happen there would be lots of gaps in the channel list (and Freeview would have run out of numbers in the entertainment section long ago). The only times that there is a requirement to return is when a channel moves to a different multiplex (although if you don't watch that channel it won't affect anything else if you don't retune) or to enable you to receive a new channel which has been added. If you decide not to retune when channel numbers (LCNs) change, your channels will simply remain on the old numbers until next time you retune.

LCN changes will never stop happening because they are necessary when new channels are added and closed ones removed. It is worth nothing that there is a major change taking place on 2nd August where channels in the News, Childrens, Streamed and Adult sections will move to new numbers (see
Freeview Channel Change Day 2017 announced - a516digital
for details) although if you don't retune, those channels will simply continue on their old numbers until the next time you retune.

Most newer TVs and set top boxes take care of these changes automatically, avoiding the need to retune manually for most changes.

Jon: If you mean Hailsham in East Sussex then you're much too far away to receive BBC Radio London on either FM or DAB.

robert: Which stations are you getting this on? Please provide a full postcode so we can see which transmitters cover your area and where you are in relation to them.

ian thomas: You don't watch Freeview through a Sky dish as Freeview is broadcast from ground based transmitters which are received via an aerial on the roof (or sometimes in the loft) and cannot be received by a Sky dish (which receives signals broadcast from satellites orbiting above the equator). I think you really mean that you are using the Freesat from Sky service (i.e. a Sky box without a subscription). Have you tried pairing your viewing card with the new box from the menu? Have you tried contacting BT's customer services?

Bryan: Because the station's owner (Global Radio) decided not to continue broadcasting The Arrow on DAB in your area.
