Below are all of StevensOnln1's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Mike Kelly: Freesports is on the COM8 multiplex which changed frequency at Rowridge transmitter on 21st March. If your box cannot pick it up when retuning you most likely have a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive the higher frequency (UHF channel 56) now being used. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible to have a free replacement wideband aerial fitted which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

Trevor: BBC News HD is on the COM7 multiplex which changed frequency at Crystal Palace on 21st March and is now found on UHF channel 55. If you cannot restore your missing channels by retuning you need to get in touch with whoever is responsible for maintenance as the communal aerial system may need adjusting, or the aerial itself may need replacing if it isn't a wideband type.

Martin Stern: This website doesn't have a tech department or any sort of support line, perhaps you are referring to the Freeview Advice Line? To offer any advice, we need to know which transmitter you're using (please provide a full postcode so that we can see your predicted coverage etc). Also, have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?

Raphael: A fluctuating signal like you describe is likely to be caused by a problem with your aerial system (e.g. a loose or damaged connection somewhere) or they aerial may have been moved by the wind or damaged by the bad weather over the last few weeks. COM7 & COM8 are broadcast at a much lower power level than the main PSB1-3 & COM4-6 muxes from Angus and would therefore be the most likely to show signs of a fault.

Tony Hill: The BBC/Freeview's information about the change in frequency is correct, you are not being given the runaround. Please provide a full postcode so that we can see the predicted coverage at your location.

Colin R: Until such time as Briantist is able to update the transmitter details, you can find power levels for each mux by entering your postcode and selecting the Digital UK Trade Checker. Power levels for COM7 & COM8 are unchanged, the local mux has been increased in power. COM7 (UHF C55) is 43kW, COM8 (UHF C56) is 40kW, Local Mux/London Live (UHF C35) is 30kW from Crystal Palace and additionally 4kW on the same frequency from Croydon. If you previously received COM7 & COM8 but cannot now get them by auto or manual tuning, you should contact the Freeview Advice Line to arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be installed (free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable - see link below).

Frank: The antenna should be mounted vertically for Fenton. The horizontally mount antennas will most likely be pointed at another transmitter. What signal strengths do you get on the other multiplexes?

Tim: No one needs to buy a new TV or set top box as a result of the current frequency changes. There is a government funded scheme to install free replacement wideband aerials for viewers who do not have satellite or cable, so the viewers are not having to bare the costs.
