Twinks: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see your predicted coverage. Are you watching ITV on channel 3 or ITV HD on 103? ITV have have some of their regions available on HD on Freeview so some areas receive a different region on ITV HD compared to the region received on ITV SD.

Rupert Allen : You're just 6km from the Sudbury transmitter and should be getting a strong signal, possibly too strong which can overload the tuner. Search for the article titled "Too much of a good thing" on this website and try an attenuator.

Andy: PSB2 moved temporarily to UHF channel 36 on 21st March, but will be moving again on 18th April along with PSB1 and PSB3 (new UHF channel allocations for Wooburn will be 41/44/47) according to Digital UK. If you continue to have the same problem after retuning on the 18th you may need a new aerial, which should be available free of charge via the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) if you don't have satellite or cable.

Glyn Taylor: If you are loosing channels when it rains, the most likely explanation is that the rain is getting in to your aerial/cabling. The PSB1 mux (carrying BBC SD channels) is broadcast at 20kW from Carmel, as is PSB2 (carrying ITV/S4C/Channel 4/Channel 5 etc). Dave and Yesterday are broadcast on COM5 and COM6 which are 10kW (i.e. half the power of PSB1/PSB2) so it looks very much like the problem is at your end. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables and connections, but you may well end up needing to have your aerial and/or cable replaced.

Mike Bacon: Rather than assuming, if you provide a full postcode we can see the coverage prediction for your location which will show which transmitters you should be able to receive and which frequencies they use. The PSB2 mux from Dover is on UHF channel 51 according to Digital UK.

David Heddon: Do you have the other HD channels on the TV that is missing BBC Four HD? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

jeff: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see predicted coverage at your location. If you were previously using Crystal Palace then it's fairly likely that you have a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive the higher frequencies now used by COM7 & COM8. Hannington was historically a Group E transmitter, so most existing aerials should be OK for COM7 & COM8.
