G. Taylor: If it's only happening when it rains the most likely explanation is that the rain is getting in to the aerial or cable somewhere.

ROGER FURNEAUX: Accusing people of lying is a strange way to ask for help! If a main transmitter such as Caradon Hill was off air there would be hundreds of complaints, but you're the only one reporting a problem which would suggest that it's more likely to be something at your end. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Do you have an amplifier? If so, is it receiving power? Resetting was the worst thing to do as you have now deleted all of your correctly tuned channels, making it far more difficult to see when the problem has been solved.

K Gardner: According to Digital UK COM6 is on UHF channel 37 at 100kW, COM7 is on C55 at 22.9kW, COM8 is on C31 at 22.6kW. The information at the top of this page doesn't seem to be have been updated to take account of recent frequency changes yet.

Martin Pitts: Either you have a problem with your aerial system or you're suffering with electrical interference probably being generated by something with an electric motor, e.g. central heating pumps, washing machines, power tools, etc. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections?

David Smith: According to Digital UK C39 at Sutton Coldfield is still COM6/ArqB, it has not changed to PSB1/BBCA. The only frequency changes that have taken place at Sutton Coldfield are that COM7 & COM8 have moved to C55/C56 and the local mux is now on C36 & C48 (two frequencies needed to cover different radiation patterns). There are no further changes planned for Sutton Coldfield. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?

Various transmitters in London and the surrounding areas have recently undergone frequency changes, however we don't know which one you're using so please provide a full postcode to enable us to access your coverage prediction.
