If you're using one of the many relays, put your postcode in to the website and click on the Digital UK Trade link which will show you the frequencies used.

R John: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? What signal strength and quality readings are you getting on the other multiplexes? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

Barrie Stow : Stockland Hill isn't predicted to give a strong signal according to the Digital UK checker for your postcode, which seems to match the results you're getting. None of the other transmitters look like particularly great options either, with the only viable alternatives only giving your the PSB channels. You would be better off getting Freesat.

G Draper: Retuning will never fix a weak signal as your TV was already correctly tuned. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?

Andrew Fielder: What signal strength do you get on UHF channel 33 compared to the other muxes? If it's lower, the most likely explanation is that you have a Group C/D aerial which is not designed to receive the lower part of the UHF band. If you don't have satellite or cable you should be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

DJB: If you're getting 100% signal strength then you are likely overloading the tuner with too much signal. Try bypassing the amplifier and check what signal strength you get with the TV in its normal location.

Wayne Heyes : Are both TVs connected to the same aerial? If they are, you have a fault such as a loose cable or connection somewhere between the living room TV and the point where the aerial feeds split. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind the living room TV.
