Grant R Brooker: Either you are in a fringe reception area or you have a fault in your aerial system somewhere. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV. Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc.

ITV 3 +1

Lorraine Birkhead & Pauline Donaldson: ITV3 +1 shares broadcast capacity with CITV channel on Freeview. ITV announced earlier this week that CITV channel's broadcast hours would be extended until 9pm on Freeview, therefore ITV3 +1 is now unable to start until 9pm. Suggest you consider getting a PVR or watching on catchup if you are unable to watch your favourite shows at the time they are broadcast. See the link below for full info on the changes:

Gary Duthie: Because Rosehearty only serves a few thousand homes and therefore the commercial broadcasters don't think they would get enough extra viewers to make a worthwhile return on the costs of providing their channels. There are over 1,100+ transmitters to cover 99.5% of UK housholds and the commercial broadcasters can reach over 90% of them by broadcasting their channels from 80 or so main transmitters. The vast majority of Freeview channels are also available on Freesat if you want more channels and are unable to receive them from Durris.

Michelle Mussett: As per my reply above, Motors TV has now closed on satellite. It is to become an online only subscription service, although according to reports elsewhere it doesn't seem to be available yet.

Forces TV

Gary Durbin: Do you have the HD channels on 101-105? Forces TV is on COM8 which you are predicted to receive from Crystal Palace (although you will need a wideband aerial).

Peter Davidson: The best thing would be to fit a wideband type such as a log periodic which will be suitable to receive all current and planned future frequencies (Angus is due to change frequency for all multiplexes in 3 stages which will be completed by the end of next year). It's also worth checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections as at on 10km away you should be getting a very strong signal.
