Roelof Pasop: That sounds like your Humax box has failed to pick up the recent LCN changes correctly. You should have Quest on 12, Dave on 19, Yesterday on 25, DMAX on 37, Home on 42 (the channel listing on this website doesn't seem to have been updated yet). Make a note of any planned recordings, then unplug the aerial and do a full channel scan which should leave you with no channels, then reconnect the aerial and do another full scan which should result in all of your channels being on the correct number.

Michael : I think I remember reading some time ago that viewers affected by co-channel interference following the frequency changes would be offered a subsidised Freesat installation if no alternative transmitter could be used. Two new transmitters have opened in Swindon and Worcester to provide a solution to co-channel problems in those areas.

Phelan: Various channels have recently changes frequency at Mendip. If you are also missing Pick, Dave and Really (all are on the COM5 multiplex along with Sky News) and can't get them back by retuning, you should contact the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) who can arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be fitted, free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable.

A Vaughan-Read: You most likely have a Group C/D aerial which is not designed to receive the lower part of the UHF band. The Freeview Advice Line (see link below) should offer you a replacement wideband aerial, free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable.

Robert Smith: You should be able to receive PBS America on the COM8 multiplex from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter at your postcode. You will need a TV or PVR which receives HD channels and you may need a wideband aerial (if you already receive BBC Four HD on 108 then you should be ready to go).

Ian Edge: Your post sounds extremely sexist and reads as if you wish you were still living in the 1950s. Why should women have to wear dresses? Who are they supposed to be making themselves pretty and desirable for? Why shouldn't they be free to choose what they wish to wear? Why was it a good thing that lots of people got married at a young age and how many later found that they were stuck with someone they didn't want to be with any more, with no easy way to leave? Why does their choice of choice of clothing and sporting activities imply that they are dissatisfied with being women?
I'm glad that society has moved on and that most women in younger generations don't have the same social pressures exerted on them that you seem to look back so fondly on.

Paul Metcalfe: The Ilfracombe relay is predicted to give good reception at your postcode. It now uses UHF channel 33 for BBC South West and 36 for ITV Westcountry.
