Do not attempt to retune as this will result in all of your correctly tuned channels being deleted.

Iain Davies: There has been no announcement yet of any date for any channels to switch to HD only output, or for any further multiplexes to switch to broadcasting in DVB-T2. Although the BBC have said they intend to switch to HD only broadcasting in the future.

Eugene MC Geehan : There have been no technical changes to the broadcast of UTV on Freeview since the channel was sold to ITV plc. Please provide a postcode so we can see which transmitter you're using and offer further advice.

s.taylor: If you cancel your Sky subscription you will continue to receive all of the free channels through your Sky box, although you won't be able to record them. If you want to be able to record, the simplest thing would be to replace your Sky box with a Freesat box (from 189 for one that records - see link below) which will still give you most of the free channels and reuses your existing Sky dish and cabling (so no expensive installation costs).
Choose your Freesat box - over 200 TV and Radio Channels - subscription free

Bob Abbot: There's been no advanced warning of planned engineering work on the Peebles transmitter so it's reasonable to assume that there is currently a fault (services off air since 9:22 this morning according to the engineering post above yours). If your phone signal normally comes from a mobile base station on the same transmitter mast (most TV and radio transmitter masts also host base stations for the mobile networks) then it could be that either the mobile services have been switched off to allow engineers to safely work on the mast, or possibly that there has been a loss of mains power at the transmitter and any backup battery supply has been exhausted.

Sue: Talking Pictures isn't broadcast from the Dover transmitter. If you provide a postcode we can see if you might be able to receive it from another transmitter.

stevo17: Is your TV capable of receiving the HD channels 101-105? Is your aerial pointed to the Emley Moor transmitter or a local relay?

Sandra Church: There are no reported faults on the Crystal Palace transmitter. Given that it covers most of London, there would be hundreds of people complaining if there was, so start by checking all the cables and connectors behind your TV looking for anything that has become loose or damaged.
