Then reconnect your aerial and retune again and you should find BBC News etc on the new numbers.

DONALD KIRKBRIDE: There are currently notices on the old channel numbers to advise viewers where to find each channel following the retune. I've read elsewhere that these are due to remain in place until some time in September. Some receivers have the facility to move channels to another number or delete unwanted channels, check the manual to see if yours has this function.

john slater: Have a look in the TV's menu for an option to turn off the auto retuning. Engineering work rarely takes place overnight and is almost certainly not the cause of channels being deleted overnight. If you need any further help, please let us know the make and model of your TV and a full postcode so we can see what signal strength you should be getting etc.

Stuart Tier: Is the aerial cable mixed up with HDMI and other cables behind your TV? Try separating the cables and keep the aerial as far apart from any HDMI cables as you can, as HDMI cables (particularly thin ones that don't have much screening) are known to cause interference which can affect one frequency without affecting any others.

Andrew Maynard: Your TV has probably picked up a different transmitter when retuning, as no transmitters have changed region since DSO completed in 2012. Please provide a full postcode so we can see which transmitters are available at your location, where you are in relation to them and your predicted signal strength etc.

Clare: Please provide a full postcode so we can see the predicted coverage for your location. Partial postcodes don't allow us to access this information as they cover a wide area.

Andrew Maynard: We need a full postcode, the first half covers a wide area and does not give a coverage prediction result. If you don't want to give your own postcode, provide one from a nearby shop etc.

Andrew Maynard: Now that we have your coverage prediction, it seems most likely that your TV has picked up Crystal Palace during the retune, which is only 62 degrees away from the direction of Bluebell Hill, and since Crystal Palace broadcasts on lower frequencies this is probably why your TV has stored Crystal Palace channels in preference to Bluebell Hill. If you click on the DigitalUK Trade link below your post, it gives you the UHF channel numbers used by Bluebell Hill, which you can enter into your TV's manual tuning function to restore the South East region for BBC/ITV.

jOHN: There is no need to shout. UHF channel numbers for Hannington are listed on the Hannington Freeview page (this is the Hannington DAB page). The list you have posted looks like the list of channels that are planned to be used at Hannington after the 700MHz frequency next year, rather than the current list.

Stuart Tier: Does your TV have a manul tuning option in the menu? If it does, select C31 and wait a few seconds (most TVs will then display signal strength and quality readings). If those readings are stable try running a manual tune on C31 which should restore the missing channels, otherwise let us know what strength and quality readings you get.
