Seamus: Because BT would want to be paid for rebroadcasting the commercial channels via their internet TV service. This would require BT to enter into a commercial deal with each broadcaster in order to carry their channels, which probably wouldn't bring them enough additional subscribers to be worthwhile.

Iain Davies: I doubt the local mux has been moved to the main aerial as it would cause massive interference with the Cardiff local mux which is also broadcast on C51 from Wenvoe, which has large areas of overlap with the main muxes from Mendip.

ebby: There are no DAB+ stations on the Kent local multiplex, nor any on the BBC National or D1 National multiplexes. Whether any stations on these multiplexes might convert to DAB+ (or when that might happen) is currently unknown. There have been no plans announced for any expansion in coverage of the SDL National multiplex, which currently broadcasts 4 DAB+ stations and covers around 75% of UK households.

Moira Veitch: Is the aeriel in the loft a shared/communal aerail? Have you checked with your neighbours in the same block to ask if their suffering with the same problem? If they are, get in touch with whoever manages the block and get them to send someone out. If none of your neighbours are having the same problem check the connections behind your TV to look for anything loose or damaged.
