John Morgan: This website is independent of broadcasters and information is sourced automatically from sources including Radio & Television Investigation Service.

It does this by 'checking' at intervals for each radio and TV transmitter. Clearly there are many (well over 1,000).

Thus there will always be times when the source information (on Radio & TV Investigation) has changed when the information on this site has not been updated.

The more often this website checks the more likely the sites that the information is sourced from are likely to be unhappy about the repeated checking due to increased traffic. Plus of course the more traffic from the server this website is hosted on.

All of the above is the reason for the "Click to recheck" link.

BT Sport 1

roy taylor: Is it that the receiver says "no signal" or is it that the screen is blank?

If it is the latter then isn't it the case that the two BT Sport channels are subscription and therefore do you have one?

Jim: Perhaps the one that puts RT channels in the 800s is receiving them from Cairn Hill. If you have a single aerial pointing to Brougher Mountain then it is roughly in the opposite direction. Should this turn out to be the case then the issue is that the NIMux hasn't been tuned.

The signal strength screen should identify which you are receiving. Cairn Hill is on C47 and Brougher Mountain is on C30.

Try a manual tune on C30. If, on the manual tune screen, there is an option for signal mode - DVB-T or DVB-T2 - then choose the latter.

Colin: Film4 is moving from COM6 multiplex to PSB2.

At present it is carried on both albeit that the COM6 stream has a message about retuning superimposed.

Therefore the point of a retune is to put the Film4 carried on PSB2 on logical channel 15.

If yours keeps putting COM6's Film4 (the one with the message on) on 15 then maybe the box will allow you to swap the two - the PSB2 Film4 probably residing in the 800s. Or maybe it will allow you to delete 15 and replace it with the PSB2 Film4. What you can do will depend on the design of the box.

The signal strength screen should tell you which UHF channel it is tuned to. If you are using Crystal Palace then PSB2 is on C26 and COM6 on C28.

Mark: The A22 may be in the signal path to Reigate Hill which might explain the poor reception if it coincided with periods of heavy traffic.

CARL LEWIS: You can't receive it because it isn't being broadcast!

Lionel Lewis: If the feeds for these aerials combine using a diplexer then maybe it is that which means that your Wenvoe aerial is being used to pick up C49 from Mendip.

On 27th March Mendip's PSB1 (BBC One etc) multiplex moved to C49. Whilst COM4 (ITV3 etc) is now on C48 (it moved at the same time) you should be able to receive this from Wenvoe.

A diplexer "splits" at one particular channel. For Mendip and Wenvoe a split at C51 would have allowed all channels to be view - up until 27th March. This was because all of Wenvoe's channels were below C51 (and still are) and all of Mendip's were above C51.

K Wright: The posting above says that Mynydd Machen was off air yesterday for a couple of hours.

BBC services should be tuned to UHF channel 23, this information is usually given on the signal strength screen.

C49 is Mynydd Bach, C60 is Abertridwr and C41 is Wenvoe.

Jenny Cox: Freeview Lite (the Public Service/PSB multiplexes) used to carry some "text" services. The space used previously by these have allowed another stream which is Film4.
