There are good things said about Humax Freeview (terrestrial) receivers, so I gather that Humax Freesat boxes will be good:
Welcome to HUMAX [UK]

(I have no idea how competitive the prices are from Humax Direct so it might be a good idea to have a look around.)

Emma: I have no idea how competitive the prices are from Humax Direct so you might like to have a look around at suppliers if you do opt for a Humax model.

bhollis: You can't because it isn't available free-to-air via satellite it is only available by subscribing to an appropriate Sky package.
It is available from full-service Freeview transmitters. The Digital UK predictor suggests that you might be able to receive it from Mendip.

be, Niek saal: On account of there being snow on the dish this would seem to be, by far, the most likely suspect. Should you attempt to knock it off then be careful not to knock the dish out of alignment as it will require being professionally set-up again. Even a minor movement (not visible to even the professional's eye) can be curtains to good reception.

be: I'm not familiar with Sky boxes so can't help. However, I would suspect the snow or ice to be the likely cause. It is something satellite viewers have to live with.

Gordon Elliott: If you aren't bothered which regional programming you get then Belmont might generally be your best bet.
If you want East Anglia programming, then use the King's Lynn transmitter which relays Tacolneston, which is in the grounds of Sandringham. This carries only PSB channels.
To receive the COMs you will probably need two Belmont aerials and two diplexers to combine feeds.

joan marsh: Further to the comment by jb38, it would appear that aerials on your road are pointing at Sudbury rather than the Clacton-on-Sea transmitter, which carries only PSB channels.
You "may" find that a replacement aerial will bring in the COM channels which carry Film 4, 5*, 5 USA and others.
The COM channels don't have as good coverage as the PSBs, so some people are without, or may be able to gain them by adjusting or replacing their aerial.

Emma: Freesat requests a postcode merely to provide the "correct" regional programming. So choose a postcode to give you the regional content you wish to view.
