Not fit for purpose: massive leftist bias, abysmal production quality, massive bureaucracy, hopelessly inefficient, duplication and redundancy - need I go on?

Before cutting services (OK, BBC3 and R4 late night "comedy" can go instantly) I would take a close look at over staffing and other huge over spend.
The numbers, both duplicated staff, e.g. news, and all cost centres, are eye watering: the BBC is a huge, monolithic, government department completely ill suited to the task.
Waste is rampant because the people at the BBC simply don't understand anything else (virtually all have never worked in the private sector) but spend, spend, spend: stopping the BBC tax would be a start.

TacolnestonBBC1 and 2 dropping out; signal strength very low - what is going on?

MikeP:
Nope, it isn't that.
Tonight BBCB is also either down or drops out thus is unwatchable.
If it was another transmitter it would happen all the time - it doesn't.
Remember, the s/s on BBCB is 20%, if that, of all other channels.
It is the Tacolneston transmitter that has a fault but you guys won't admit it. Why?

MikeP etc:
The aerial system is new and worked perfectly until a couple of weeks ago when pix started to break up on BBC1&2 HD - only.
S/s on all other channels is unchanged at c.7 of 10.
Extremely unlikely it's the aerial but I'll get my man out to look.

Why so many posts re the same off air report?
Is there a reason why Tacolneston has so many BBC HD off air situations? Is there a more serious problem that we're not being told about?
Oh and isn't the word "digital" redundant?

Are there problems with Tacolneston HD transmissions?
Since yesterdays storms BBC HD is either very intermittent or missing altogether - again.

SD was fine, just HD.
During the storm (not here, btw) several channels disappeared with no signal.
Our aerial installation was thoroughly checked and repaired as necessary two years ago but similar problems persisted: heavy rain always results in loss of signal.
Next time I'll check with a neighbour and no harm in asking now.

See my post above.
Tonight, BBC Four HD and Channel 4 HD have no digital audio; all else is as above.
What on earth is going on?
