Indeed Brian, I gather it's the highest transmitter siten in England.
Under lift conditions Radios 1,2,3,4 from Holme Moss all come in quite well here. I could receive Classic FM as well on 101.1 MHz until BFBS started their station from Holywood on 101.0

Brian: Then why are Digital UK still stating that NI viewrs will have only 3 HD channels, post DSO (in my case on both Carnmoney Hill and Divis) when I enter my postcode ?
It appears, at least according to Digital UK, that UTV HD on Freeview HD at digital switchover is not a certainty.

Depends on your location Ronan.
Cambrett Hill in Southwest Scotland comes in well in parts of East Antrim and East Down, as do some of the relay stations on the Isle of Mann (Beary Peark for example) on the East Down coast.
All are Freeview Lite, including Cambrett Hill Cambrett is horizontally polarised and has an ERP of 2.8 Kw, which is stronger than Freeview from Divis at present.

Interesting Paul.
The UK Freeview channels are possibly from the Isle of Mann (or maybe Portpatrick or Stranraer) as there are no vertically polarised Freeview transmissions in the province at the moment (try checking the BBC region).
After the increase in power from Saorview from Clermont Cairn post DSO, It's quite possible you may get a signal from Saorview, despite the Whitehead transmitter being on the same frequency (channel 52). It's very low power and could probably be nulled out.

Conor: I would imagine there would be a period of testing before it officially comes onto the Sky EPG.
Great news though and wish they'd sort the issue out on satellite sooner rather than having to wait until DSO.
I gather UTV+1 will also appear on Freesat and Sky around the same time.

David: UTV appears on the 103 position on a Northern Ireland both the Sky EPG. ITV 1 London is on 993.
ITV 1 HD can be viewed using the add channels option on Sky, and non Freesat mode on Freesat.
I would imagine UTV HD will occupy channel 178 on Sky (ITV 1 HD's Sky EPG No. in England and Wales) when it becomes available.

K.Smith: Ballywalter is covered by the Divis transmitter.
Some of the transmitters in Scotland (Cambrett Hill, Portpatrick, and Stranraer) and the Isle of Mann (Beary Peark) are also receivable in the area.

Yes, I know Brian, but you can't record it on Sky Plus since it's not on the EPG (neither is there any programme info), which is a real pain in the neck.
It's a disgrace that UTV HD isn't available on either the Sky or Freesat EPGs after all this time (it must be at least years now). It should have been sorted out ages ago.
It's launch on Virgin was a farce (who did UTV think they were trying to fool ?).
Neither is there any mention of it appearing on Freeview HD after DSO, at least not according to Digital UK's postcode checker.
Hopefully, Digital UK are wrong, but I wouldn't hold my breath, knowing UTV.
Personally, I wouldn't care if we had ITV 1 Northern Ireland in the province.
