dorothy: It seems likley that the Freeview box has failed, as I presume you will already have checked the batteries in both handsets.
If this is the case you will need to replace the Freeview box.

D Smith: Yes, that is correct, you don't have a digital tuner in your DVD recorder.
You will either need to change the DVD recorder for one with a Freeview tuner, or connect the DVD recorder to the Freesat box's "VCR SCART" and record from it that way.

Another channel that disappeared about the same time as CMT and didn't reappear on Sky Digital was The Weather Channel. Both channels are still broadcast in their home market, the US - Country Music Television - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and The Weather Channel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .

When I use the word "illegal" I use it in the sense of "against the law" not making a moral case for the law being correct or otherwise.
BSkyB is only partly owned by NewsCorp (39.1%), it is mainly a public listed company in the UK and the majority of the shareholders (60.9%) are not connected with NewsCorp.
