Sid: Thanks for that. Yes, there is a problem with Bromsgrove showing up as underpowered.

I am currently working on re-working the whole database to deal with several problems, but it takes many days to do the predictions for the whole of the UK.

mst: I am interested to know how you think that "their reception is currently impaired due to an engineering test sending out 4MB/s unused" can happen.

As I said above, on on 23rd November all switched-over transmitters will have the extra capacity on ArqB, and so I would suggest there will be an extra channel by Christmas.

There is no need to wait for Crystal Palace DSO2 because there is "matched capacity" on Multiplex B that has been approved by Ofcom.

ian from notts: As long as you are northeast of the transmitter (which you clearly are) you should be getting a full-power signal from the transmitter.

Which of course leads to the thoughts about Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice ...

Meconi: there was 15 minutes of low signal on the HD multiplex this week, but no other transmission problems.
