Penny Kempin: You *ARE* in a 4G roll out area.

Also, you *ARE* very close to a mobile phone mast. There's is one 160 meters away, and another 660 meters away, between you and the Crystal Palace transmitter.

You can contact the people responsible - at800 - for filter provision and fitting by calling 0808 13 13 800 (free from a landline) or 0333 31 31 800 (from a mobile phone).

However, if you have not had a card though the post yet it is quite possible that your interference is not related to 4G provision.

In that case, have a look at the Freeview reception has changed? | Freeview Interference | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice page.

Arun: It's possible. The BBC "R+T Investigation" system doesn't report the COM multiplexes, so you have to (as they told me) "infer" what is happening to them.

It looks like the event was a mains power failure, to which systems probably have a certain amount of backup.

So... basically "yes".

Alex Gibb: Just to add, the current 4G EE service can't effect Freeview, it's at 1800MHz. Do I need a filter to protect my Freeview from Everything Everywhere 4G masts? | 4G-at-800 | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice .

I'm quite sure that there have been no 4G EE 1800MHz services in your area.

Robin Mutch: For what it's worth, my terrain plot uses 100m interval data for the UK. Freeview reception at AB31 5RT Terrain between AB315RT and Freeview masts and the line takes into account signals above the line of sight.

You can adjust the height above the ground using the box at the bottom.

SSteve Lyons: I think that you might expect the "connected red button" services to being an fuller text service to internet connected Freeview HD equipment at some point in the future.

There's some detail of the service at BBC - Blogs - Internet blog - Building Connected Red Button .
