M: I can't generate the correct information about your location without a full postcode. It doesn't identify you personally.

MASUD: If you have analogue or Freeview, this will be because rain is getting into your aerial cable.

If this is the case, you will need to have the cable replaced. You may wish to use satellite-grade cable as a replacement.

If you have satellite, you will occasionally find that very heavy rain will, for a few minutes, scatter the satellite signal, causing loss of picture.

ParishPete: Yes, you should remove any booster you have at switchover.

Normally simply removing the power will block the signal, you will need to remove and bypass the booster.

Jack Forrester: This is exactly what you would expect to happen from time to time when you have a loft aerial and a "booster".

Move the aerial to the roof for reliable Freeview reception.

Charles: Can you see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice please?

You might expect this if you are using a booster. Try disconnecting it from your system, they often do no more than wreck digital reception.
