Mario: Yes, you can use a Freesat box with a suitably large dish - which in the south of Spain may be very large indeed. The best thing to do is to buy a good quality Freesat+HD box for her to take to Spain and to organised the dish with a local installer in Spain.

robert knowd: No, you can't use a French satellite to watch Sky. Also, as you mentioned it, Sky Go will not work from outside the UK & RoI.

lee jackson: Are you sure it's Whitehawk Hill, as the transmitter appears to be over the radio horizon at your location, unless you aerial is very high up indeed.

JoeB: If you wait until 18th April 2012, you will be able to get 80% of the Freeview services from the Crystal Palace transmitter with a normal rooftop aerial.

The Hanninton will give you, from 22nd February 2012, the public service Freeview channels, but not a full service.

All you need is a "Class I" rooftop aerial. It would be sensible to use satellite-grade coaxial cable as you might stand a good chance of getting the whole Freeview service from the Crystal Palace transmitter.

JoeB: Only selected pre-recorded programmes on public service channels have audio description. Look for "[AD]" in the Freesat EPG.
