Below are all of Bob's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.I wonder if Tacolneston's signal will change at the extreem distance, when the old mast is knocked down - it is a little to the west of the new one.
I assume the delay, is for transfering other services such as radio from the old, to the new mast?

The strange thing is here in Brandon, the fringe of Sandy - there is no difference in the signal strength on C31 or C27 & both are solid no breakup on the channels - odd

Don, where are you? - have you upgraded your aerial? If you have an old group A aerial, that will cause your problem. You may need to upgrade to a wideband & perhaps replace the co-ax if it has been there many years.

Hi Rob
Yes, there was a "Lift" on at the weekend, this is going to be much more of a problem on Digital that Analogue, as with the later, there is a gradual appearance of horrizontal lines, before the picture vanishes - with digital, there is no such warning - just "No signal" . IT would help, if the program providers announced BEFORE it happens, say between progs, that there is a likelyhood of interfearence due to the weather - but as ever, no warning at all!

Brian, I am afraid you are seeing the rotting away of a corrupt corporation that is the BBC - is is a gravy train fast running out of track.

Brian, I think if anything I made an understatement regarding the BBC gravy train, next week will feature the Duel between Patten & Thompson, this will lead to further revalations about the "Corrupt corporation" - my prediction is the BBC as we know it will be on it's deathbed by 2015 & will be finished by 2017, perhaps replaced by a smaller, leaner PSB.

TO Anyone getting poor freeview reception at the moment, this may be caused by local tree leaves in the TX direction dying & wet, but still hanging onto the trees - once they blow off, things will improve. Yet another weakness of Digital TV.

Hi KMJ - so C48 & C52 are now on 170KW, I guess the official details must be out of date, as they are still listed as 20KW.
