Mike Tucker: If any doubts exist as to whether or not you were previously receiving COM7 transmissions from Mendip, then the easy way to find out is by trying a manual tune on the only two alternatives seen using a couple of test P/Codes, the alternatives being Wenvoe's COM7 on Ch31 and Ridge Hill on Ch32, test codes used being for the GL16 7E_ areas.

By the way, no engineering work is listed as being carried out at Mendip, although even if it was and the power was temporarily reduced, your 100% signal level would not vanish.

Mike Tucker: If you have an aerial in the days of four-channel analogue then it might be a Group C/D one and therefore C33 is out-of-group for your aerial.

See:

Aerials, TV Aerial and Digital Aerial

Basically, Group C/D is the top third of the band of TV frequencies (UHF channels) and such an aerial is most sensitive on those frequencies. (You may have had your C/D aerial replaced to pick up analogue Channel 5 on C37.)

Also, try a manual scan of UHF channel 31, which is COM7 from Wenvoe.

After switchover unable to receive any channels available via com7 from Belmont transmitter. My Humax freeview/youview box scans and fails to pick up any of them but we did have them prior to switchover....we are only 4 miles from the transmitter!
