Planet Rock

Planet Rock is a public digital radio station radio. UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Struggling with the changes to Planet Rock in the Keighley area.
I cannot re-tune any of my radios to get the new station (2nd multiplex 80 kb) only the old service (1st multiplex 64kb)
Should I be able to get this station from the Keighley transmitter 11B/11D/12B?

Hi Craig. You should just about reach the D2 transmitter on the outskirts of Leeds, I would have thought, but I guess it depends on the terrain in between. Have you done a full factory reset on your radios?
There are very many areas missing on the D2 transmitter map and there is currently a petition to try to keep it nationwide, would be grateful for any support, thanks.

Hi Jenny, the new national DAB multiplex isn't available in Ipswich unfortunately. You can still listen to Planet Rock via digital TV or online.

Jan Davies: the cheapest option for the broadcasters would probably be a DAB+ slot on local multiplexes in some of the affected areas. There will be plenty of spare capacity on the soon to be launched Suffolk multiplex.
