My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Lost BBC4 HD and BBC News HD (and all channels between Freeview 106 and 202).
Problem started shortly after midnight. Have retuned twice - as worked was appafrtently scheduled.
No joy at all. 106-201 still missing.

Freeview 106-201 all gone.
Crystal Palace had engineering work last night apparently.
No BBC News HD No BBC4 No Al Jazeera despite 2 retunes
And no information from Freeview - is this supposed to be a transparent process?

David Warner: The COM7 & COM8 multiplexes changed frequencies at Crystal Palace early this morning to UHF channels 55 & 56. If you can't restore the missing channels by manual tuning then you most likely have a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive these higher frequencies. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible for a free replacement wideband aerial which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

21st March 2018, I lost channel 10 (ITV3) and channel 19 (Yesterday) and various other TV channels.
I re-tuned the TV, but could not find these channels. I tried re-tuning again this morning with the same results.
I receive my programs from Midhurst, and I live near Horsham.
What should I do?

Gordon Ingram: The Midhurst transmitter underwent some frequency changes yesterday morning, with the COM4 & COM6 multiplexes now being broadcast on lower frequencies which may be outside the frequency range your existing aerial is designed to receive if it isn't a wideband type. If you don't have satellite or cable you should be eligible for a free replacement wideband aerial which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

David Warner: I'm in west London so on the Crystal Palace transmitter, and when I tried Channel 4+1 HD yesterday (21/3/18) it said it was either encrypted or not available. I remembered the messages being flashed up recently about retuning on 21/3/18, so I did. The channel is now of unwatchably poor quality, as are the others in the same multiplex that I've tried (RT HD and BBC News HD). The problem is still there some 24 hrs later.

Peter: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see your predicted coverage, as you may have picked up a weaker signal from another transmitter or you may need a new aerial if you existing aerial isn't a wideband type.

Communal aerial on a block of flats.
The affected channels are behaving like most channels did about 18 months ago when the aerial had been turned slightly by the weather (realigning it caused the signal strength to go from about 30 to 70 or even 75%).
The only channels I've checked are in the same multiplex (COM7).
I only did a normal retune so I'll try a First Time Installation when I have time.

Peter: If the channels are there but with a weak signal then retuning won't make any difference as you would just be deleting the channels and searching for them again. The communal aerial system may need adjusting following the frequency changes earlier this week at Crystal Palace (some communal systems use filters to block unwanted signals from other transmitters) or a new aerial may be required if the current one isn't a wideband type, so you'll need to get in touch with whoever is responsible for maintenance.

I get my freeview service from the olivers mount transmitter. On a regular basis, I completely lose signal from all the channels on Com 5. including Pick TV and Dave.
All other muxes are at 9 or 10 out of ten strength and quality.
Currently down now at 17.30 23rd March 2018. and I want to watch Babylon 5 !!
Cheers.
