I've also dropped to 88 channels using toshiba built in freeview on Angus transmitter. Done countless rescans and full resets but problem persists. Manually scanned for new frequencies but still nothing. Any ideas anyone? (56.4723,-3.0065)

Kenny Shand: On the road where the grid reference associated with your posting is a large building that looks as if it might be a block of flats which might mean you are using a communal aerial. Some communal aerial systems will require adjustment in order to allow the new frequency through, the reason being because they are fitted with filters that only allow through frequencies that are used by the transmitter.

If your aerial is fed by a box such as a recorder of description, as a test connect the TV directly to the aerial socket on the wall, so that you know that the box isn't the issue.

It is a communal aerial and there's no box attached I reckon it's probably the aerial in that case. Oh well no film 4 for now then!! Need to speak to property management company (56.4723,-3.0065)

Kenny Shand: Once it's been changed, you may be able to add Film4 manually by manually tuning/scanning to UHF channel 49.

Colin Elliot: Yes, but when Freeview (DVB) is selected on your Freesat TV is it able to receive (15) Film 4? because Film 4 is transmitted on mux Ch49 from the Blairgowrie transmitter.

You can check if the signal is being received by going into the Freeview "manual" tuning menu and entering Ch49 into the box, but with this action NOT being followed by pressing search or scan, because if a signal is being received its strength / quality will be indicated immediately after having entered Ch49.

I too have lost Film4 after the retune in the Angus area. Actually, I have lost every channel transmitted on 794.000MHz, all 24 of them:

ITV4
Film4
AlJazeera Eng
Russia Today
4Music
VIVA
and many more. I am using a Hauppauge USB Tuner (WinTV-NOVA-T-Stick), so it seems I cannot receive this frequency.

However there is a software update I can apply, so I will retest after that. It may accommodate the extra frequencies.

Yes, updating the software to WinTV v7.0.30150 (CD 2.7)has done the trick, Film4 now available again.

So are other once-missing channels, though I haven't tried all of them.
