From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. ITV3 took its channel number and bandwidth meaning all platforms could be launched simultaneously. - en.wikipedia.org read more about ITV3 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Ade: Try a manual scan on Mux Ch31, as at only 3 miles away from the transmitter there is no reason that you shouldn't be receiving it, unless that is your boxes tuner is on the verges of blocking because of an over powerful signal from the main stations on high power.
If you have a set top type aerial around, try using that for a test.

tried a manual scan of UHF CH 31 on the built in freeview tv and although it says signal is strong theres nothing on there. Other freeview only has autoscan so no joy there either.

I have had no ITV3 for a long time - months not weeks and was looking forward to getting it back at swithcover. I have all the channels available with strong signals except ITV3 which on one TV shows as Channel 10 but does not have a strong enough signal to show the picture, but does not show at all on another TV. The signal strength is abysmal. What can i do? (Post code NG17 8BE).

Wendy: You cant really do anything, as the multiplex ITV3 uses (Mux Ch29) will be on low power until 12th of October, many people are having problems with this including myself.

Wendy: Just out of interest, when you say that a signal is showing but is not strong enough to resolve a picture, is the signal showing of a reasonably constant nature, or is it diving up and down?
The reason I ask this is, that if the signal is reasonably constant then a booster could well help in this type of situation, maybe you could also mention where your aerial is situated.
