I see that they have moved Sewing Quarter from channel 73 to 791 today.
Still on multiplex P.S.B. 2.
Are they doing this because it's going to move away from a PSB multiplex?
Will we get a 24 hour channel with quality programs in it's place?

Mark A.: Sewing Quarter changed multiplex today, the version on 791 is due to be removed on Thursday to be replaced by Film4 +1 which is moving from PSB3.

I was receiving Sewing Quarter on channel 78 until earlier today. (despite being told it was being broadcast on c73). The transmission stopped shortly after 12:30 and I re-scanned as prompted by the channel itself. When the re-scanning was complete I no longer had access to Sewing Quarter on any channel!!
Can you help me please?

Sue: Can you receive 4Music on 18 and yesterday on 19? If you can then you should still be able to receive Sewing Quarter on channel 73 after retuning.

As you have not given the essential full post code we cannot determine whether you are in an area that has the required multiplex broadcast.
Further, if you lookm at the two posts above yours, Sue asks about receiving Sewing Channel and StevensOnln1 replies. Please follow his advice and provide the full post code.

John Novoa:
If you are using the signals from the relay at Tiverton on a bearing of 274 degrees, it only transmits the BBCA, BBCB and D3&4 multiplexes on channels 46, 50 and 43 respectively. As The Sewing Quarter is transmitted on the COM6 multiplex, and that is not available from Tiverton, you will not get that channel.
The alternative transmitter at Mendip has such poor reception at your location it would not help at all. That signal could come from the 58 degrees direction.
The other alternative source is the Stockland Hill transmitter at a bearing of 113 degrees. That does transmit COM6 (ARQB) on channel 28. To get that you will need a different aerial (either a Group B or a wideband type, the wideband being the oreserred option) aimed the Stockland Hill transmitter. After tht is fitted you need to do a full retune. Sewing Quarter should apper on programme (LCN) 73.
