Isn't it about time the BBC provided HD content to BBC South programming. To still be show ing a not available caption during the local news opt out after many years is a poor show.

Maurice Hillier: The BBC have recently announced that regionalised versions of BBC One HD will be available in every region by the end of next year. This is very expensive to do as every region has to be upgraded to enable HD all the way through the broadcast chain, it isn't just a case of upgrading the cameras in the regional news studios, as there is currently only one version of BBC One HD for the whole of England, so 14 individual regional versions have to be setup, and they can't just insert the regional news at the transmitter.
