How do I change the RF output channel on a Sky Digibox?
Brian Butterworth published on UK Free TV Press the [SERVICES] button and then press [4] [0] [1] then [SELECT]
Then press [4] to go to the RF output menu.
You can now change the value so that it does not clash with an analogue TV channel or a Freeview multiplex.
HD and "new EPG" boxes
If you have a HD box, press [SERVICES] button and then press [0] [0] [1] then [SELECT]. Nothing is shown on the TV screen until you press the Select button.Then use the [RIGHT] arrow button on the remote until this screen is shown, and press SELECT to change the values:

johnmc: I've been unable to find a manual for this exact model. However, I wonder if you need to press the button that allows you to select different inputs (scart inputs, PC etc). It may be a circle with an arrow pointing in.
The analogue TV part may be (on the list that appears on the screen) "ATV" or something similar.
I suggest that you tune the Sky box to programme number 1 (formerly used for BBC One analogue).

johnmc: That model of TV is a dual standard type with an analogue tuner as well as a Freeview one, but as was mentioned by Dave Lindsay has to be set on analogue to be able to pick up the Sky boxes RF modulator, the analogue mode being selected by pressing the button that's usually located underneath No (9) button on the remote control, likewise pressing it again when you want to return to Freeview.
If though this is a new installation then you will have to go into the Toshiba's analogue tuning menu and carry out a channel scan to enable the Toshiba to find the Sky boxes RF output automatically, then once done you can allocate the Sky boxes position "on the TV" to programme position (1) or indeed any position you wish.
The only point I wondered about being, that when you had said that the magic eye worked on the downstairs TV was this just for a test as its intended to be used on the 32C3035D?

I have tv aerial sockets in most rooms although I do not have an external aerial. I have sky HD and a sky + multiroom. Can I connect these to other rooms via the aerial sockets. Do I need a booster.

bob - depends what (if anything) the sockets are connected to!
A common system will have a double socket in the main room; one to the aerial and the other on to the other rooms.
If you open the sockets the wiring may give you a clue!

Bob: Plus just to add, that it also depends on the grade of cable that has been used to interconnect the various aerial sockets and whether or not any of them terminates on a wall plate that is electrically isolated, as that would block a satellite dishes LNB control voltages.
All satellite boxes whether Sky or Freesat sends commands in the form of two voltages back to the dishes LNB for polarity switching purposes.

I Have just try to set up my newly installed magic eye on my new TV in the bedroom via a co axial cable feed from the RF2 outlet on my old sky box basic type too the magic eye as show on the instruction. I try following the instruction with the magic eye, which said to go into services setup select 0 1 but didn't do anything. i was unable to get any red light on magic eye or get any channels. Can't find the way the activate RF2 outlet. any ideal. (the box is not a sky plus or hd.) Postcode SS6 7ST

Hi my friends been watch tv channels though. Skybox but now cut off. There now having trouble tuning tv in as forgot fist time setup can you help ?

I send my sky tv from the main hd box in the lounge to 3 other tvs in the house though rf out / booster etc.
This has worked fine until the second wave of digital switchover today (I retuned all tvs digital channels as needed).
Rf outlets settings currently on channell 44.
I'm sure I don't need new equipment or needto pay call out fees for a specialist and just need to retune sky box but can anyone explain exactly whaypt I need to do ?
Help much appreciated as have a house full of kids going mad already !

Stuart heynes: This is a bit of a riddle as I can't understand what the problem is.
There are a number of possibilities:
1. If you've retuned the TVs, then perhaps you've only retuned the digital side of them. Having reset them, maybe it wiped the memory for analogue channels. What each does probably varies by design.
The objective of this first stage is to tune the TVs to the Sky box. Don't change the RF out channel on the Sky box.
What I would do is put the Sky box on analogue programme number 1 on each of the TVs. That is where you used to have BBC One analogue.
2. There is the possibility that one of the new digital signals in your area use C44 or adjacent channels which now makes it unuseable and therefore you will have to change the RF out on your Sky box.
You have asked about retuning the Sky box, so I am wondering if you have carried out number 1 above.
Without knowing where you are, it isn't possible to work out whether this might be the case and which channel might be a good replacement.
I presume that the aerial feeds into the Sky box and then back out again to the other TVs. If there is a digital (Freeview) signal now on C44, this will cause interference on the analogue picture, as you might expect; it will appear grainy.
Try removing the incoming aerial lead to the Sky box. Then have the Sky box powered on and go to one of your TVs and attempt to tune in the analogue part. If there is manual tuning, then tune to C44. You may also look to see if the Sky box is still stored on the TV (in the analogue part), e.g. on number 6. Having got the output of the Sky box on the screen (via the RF feed), go back to the Sky box and plug the incoming aerial lead in. If plugging the lead in causes the picture to go grainy then you know that their is a digital signal coming down the aerial lead on C44 (or adjacent channels). If this is the case, then provide your location, preferably in the form of a post code or nearby post code (e.g. a shop) and we will see if we can work out what channel might be best for you to use.
