dennis: Smart TV's of the type that also have wi-fi facilities (as many dont!) are to your wireless router just like another laptop communicating with it, as there is nothing different about the signal.

We have interference and loss of signal on HD channels during atmospheric disturbance.

shovorne: Apart from the clarification request, you will have to ensure that you are NOT grossly overloading your boxes tuner as the Dallinton Park Freeview transmitter is located at less than one mile away from your place of residence.

Try a set top aerial or a short piece of wire (about 600mm) connected into the aerial socket of your box and then carry out an auto-tune.

Can you please help me as My Alba free view box in the last 3 months or more has lost itv 3& 4. challenge and around another 6 other channels such as 11,12 which is yesterday. It runs off the same Arial as my TV downstairs which has no problems with losing channels on its free view.
Can someone please explain whats happened.I have re-tuned my Alba box many times, but i still seems to be missing those dozen channels.
Im at my wits end on why this is the case.

I am fairly sure that the inversion effect is knocking out the mux on channel 60 from Sudbury, which can otherwise be strong. However, when I turn the aerial to Holland or France, I get no stations, unlike when I tune to other channels and get plenty of foreigners. Can the inversion effect be blamed under these circumstances?

Hi, I recently moved into a property (shared) that has sky multi-room. However, in 'our' living room, we brought our old sky box and card with us and used that, as we still had six months of our 12month contract to go. That contract is now us and all we can now get is freeview channels. What do I need to do to be able to get the same channels in the rest of the house ie the multiroom package? Do I simply ask the account holder of the multi room package to order a new card? Thank you.
