Margaret Dixon you are falling into the common trap. British is a geographical term which refers to the main island of the British Isles, ie. Great Britain, on this island are England Scotland and Wales, it does not include such as Isle of Wight, Anglesey nor any of the Scottish isles. Thus anyone born in Ireland, nirth or south, cannot be British but those in the north are UK subjects and part of Great Britain and N Ireland.

I am experiencing cross modulation on my upstairs TVs.The Freeview channels are fine but, any of the Sky/other digital channels show "wavy" lines. The feeds come via a downstairs modulator located beside the main TV&other equipment. Any suggestions please. Thank you.

JackMcKnight: Have you tried changing the RF channel that the modulator is set to? unable to advise on the best ones to use (and avoid!) without knowledge of your location, although I would use channels of around Ch64 upwards, not forgetting to retune your analogue TV's to find the new setting.

If I can get the digital radio stations on my TV (only for many of them to fall silent when BBC Alba kicks in) why can't I receive digital radio on a portable digital radio?

CricFan: Because there is no DAB signal available.

The "digital radio stations" that appear on your TV are carried via the "Freeview" signal rather than a DAB signal.

derek kay: Please could you make live cricket commentary easier to find.
I cannot find it on any of my gadgets, so am only able to watch highlights on Ch.5.
Such a shame for this national game.
