ian collins: The only transmitter you are predicted to get it from is Craigkelly, on UHF channel 45. You should try a manual retune and see what signal level/quality comes up for C45.

ian collins: And to add to that suggested by Michael, should you not find Ch45 then try Ch58, as I notice that you are located at roughly halfway between the Angus (18mls / 9 degrees) and Craigkelly (17 mls / 205 degrees) transmitters.

My area is PO33 2EY, I've had problems, on and off, getting good signal strength for my freeview channels but always get all of them, I now can't get Pick or Dave although when I retune it picks them up but the current signal strength is zero. Any ideas and does weather inpact on signal strength, it may be a coincidence but the signals seems worse in really hot sunny weather?

Ian Goddard: Turn your aerial for vertical polarisation, if you are using Rowridge.

Since April last year Rowridge has been broadcasting all channels horizontally and vertically. The COM channels (which carry Dave and others) aren't as strong horizontally.

I live in PO18 8LQ, Bosham. I have a sony tv with freeview and a separate HDD/DVD with separate freeview. The aerial plugs into the HDD/DVD.

We have never had a problem with reception. However last night, on switching on the TV at about 1840, I could not get any channel other than the D3+4 multiplex ones. I rescanned the tv several times, and again today, 8/9, but the position remains the same. It findsw only te 9 D4+4 channels

I assumed it was a transmitter problem, but what is puzzling me, is that I can still record programmes on other channels on my HDD, using the HDD EPG.

Further to my post of 16.32, I have just checked the recording of the Frost Interview on BBC Parliamnet, and it starts with a blank screen, then fast forwarding though, suddenly gets broken sound and picture. So my complete recording of the Andrew Marr Show this morning must have been lucky. I guess there are tranmitter issues this weekend

Kate dachowski:

Hi,

I am a local install engineer who is currently using the same transmitter as you.

There are definitely no issues today with this reception so any problems you are currently having are either down to the equipment or the system.

Retuning your equipment will never fix an issue with the signal you are receiving.

If your issue with the muxes are on both the tv and recorder then you are likely to be having issues with your system.

If you don't get a resolve give me a call and we can arrange for a system test.

I am an approved installer with the RDI.

regards
