Loss of Freeview signal to ITV channels and Channel 4/5.
Over the last few weeks we have noticed that the view keeps pixelating in bad rainy weather and making crackling noises.
The last week we have lost all ITV channels, Channel 4 and 5 completely and the signal strength bar that comes on the screen does not register anything.
I have tried retuning to no avail.
What makes it worse I my daughter has a stand alone Digital TV in her bedroom with only the small aerial on top of the TV and she can get loads of channels and everything works fine.
Another thing with this particular Freeview TV that is connected to the house aerial is that I do not have very many TV channels, only around 13. Should I have more.

Dean:
From your reception map, the nearest transmitter to you is Haslingen (to your North East). This is a Freeview lite transmitter with only the PSB mux carried. The likelyhood is that your daughters TV has actually locked onto the Winter Hill main station, which carries all available Freeview muxes. Go out & have a look at your aerial (& where it's pointing). It would be worth getting the aerial checked anyway, but if it is pointing at Winter Hill (which is west of you), I would very much suspect an aerial problem, as with the ITV mux on Ch59 any aerial or downlead issues will show up first on this mux.

Hi there -
Is Waltham transmitting BBC4 HD & BBC News HD yet?
Channels !01 to 105 are fine but no 106 to date.
I'm only 12 miles away with an excellent Freeview signal. The limited information on the net seems contradictory - some say up and running since March 25th. but others suggest not yet operating.
Any help most appreciated.

john: Yes! it certainly is on COM7 / C31 (554.00Mhz), although you will have to carry out a rescan to receive it, or alternatively a manual tune on C31.

Many thanks JB38.
Required a manual tune coupled with an (internal) aerial position change.
Most appreciate your help.

Never mind why I can't get Sky in Spain any more - I know the reason for that!
My question is why can't I get ukfree.tv in Spain? I'm only able to post on here because I am coming over my company's VPN; on this exact same computer without the VPN, I get, from this link in the latest but one email:-

Just returned from 2 week holiday and now find that freeview reception via digibox in my study has gone awol and "no signal" is showing. Nothing has been moved, indoor aerial in same position etc. Tried moving aerial around and managed to get approx. 25% signal strength on some of the channels where I used to get min 50% before. I live in Poppleton near York and get signal from Tyne tees mast. Has there been any problems with this transmitter ??
Appreciate your help

Dimitris:
Firstly, UK Free TV is not a broadcast channel but a privately run website available on the Internet.
Secondly, reception of manychannels outside of the UK would break the copyright terms of many of the programmes shown in the services mentioned.
So I, for one, will not be helping in this matter.
