The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. beth playfair: Because it timeshares with other services - only one service can be on at a time. Use a recorder on ITV3 then you can watch it at a time of your choosing, if the broadcast schedule does not suit.

Question ! Why did ITV3+1 stop transmission at midnight, 14th July, in the middle of a program?

Frank Lloyd: Read my reply to beth playfair above.

ITV3+1 timeshares with other services meaning that the "air space" is used by different channels at different times.

Seems I'm not the only one, I have just been watching a film on ITV+3 due to terminate 10 mins after midnight , now 4th of August, and it just got cut off at midnight - no reason, no apology. This not a joke, doesn't anybody relate scheduling to actual broadcasting of material??

Sorry if posting the same question but I too have been caught out when recording on itv3 +1, with the channel ceasing broadcast in the middle of my programme. Extremely frustrating. Appreciate you say you've already answered this, but couldn't find/understand the answer. What's the point of a +1 that cuts off before the programming does?

Very annoyed

I am very annoyd about the fact that the programmes I watch late at night never has a ending. Why show them when they are not complete. It's very frustrating watching a programme and it suddenly goes blank. What is the point of showing it at all.

Very annoyed : You can, of course, watch the programmes in full on ITV3.

The reason for ITV3+1 only being part time on Freeview has already been covered above.
