Paul Batt: Radio 5 Live is not broadcast on MW from Stockland Hill so cannot be affected by any engineering work taking place there. Radio 5 Live is normally broadcast on 693KHz from Start Point but has been on reduced power since one of the masts was demolished earlier this year after a supporting cable snapped leaving the mast in a dangerous condition. I can't find any confirmation as to whether the work to build a replacement mast has been completed or not.

Does anyone know why at 0945 each morning while listening to Radio 4 on DAB from Bincombe Hill the continuity announcer insists that we will from then on be listening to FM whereas we continue to listen to Radio 4 DAB ? A choice of programs is given for DAB and FM then the words ' Here on FM ' as we continue to listen on Radio 4 DAB.

Kevin Case: DAB Ensembles WorldWide | UK Local & Minimuxes lists the bitrates for services on each local multiplex. The same site also has pages with listings for national and regional multiplexes.

Tom Allen: Hi, Tom. The BBC Radio 4 continuity announcers have to make listeners aware that they have a choice of Radio 4 outputs at different times of the day, such as at 08:35 for 'Yesterday in Parliament (Tues. to Fri.), 09:45 for The Daily Service, 12 midday for Shipping Forecast following a brief News and at 17:52 or 3 for the shipping Forecast again. This is why you'll find the continuity announcer announcing what might appear to you to be a switching of programme content which you, yourself do not experience. I hope this answers your question, RadiomanRichard in Norwich.

Your website asked me if it might use my location, to which I agreed. It decided I was two counties away from where I live and there is no way of correcting this. Your website is useless.

Paul Harrison: If you click on the cog in the top right corner of the page, it will take you to a page where you can enter your postcode which will enable you to see information relevant to your actual location. Geolocation services (I don't know which one this website uses) can never be 100% accurate and it is not uncommon for the location reported to be some distance away from your actual location when it is relying solely on your IP address rather than GPS data.

Richard Cooper,
thanks for the response - I've only just spotted it.
Some inaccuracy regarding content seems likely to happen, but announcing the wrong medium still seems odd to me. However we do know what we are actually listening to,
Regards, Tom

I was watching neighbours today at about 2.00pm when it all started pixelating on Channel 5. I changed to 105 and the picture was perfect. I also looked at some other channels some of which were affected others were not. I changed back to 105 to finish watching the programme. At the end 2.15pm I went back to 5 but all was ok. This also happens with 1 & 2 but they were ok this time.
What could be causing this. Should I make a note of when it happens.
I can't get BBC Radio Devon on FM or DAB.
