Tommy Divers: In that case your TV most likely doesn't have a DVB-T2 tuner which is needed to receive HD channels on Freeview. The HD badge is probably indicating that the screen can display a HD picture (either HD Ready or Full HD) rather than Freeview HD (which indicates that it has the correct tuner for HD channels on Freeview). Although Talking Pictures isn't broadcast in HD, it is carried on a HD multiplex (COM7) and you therefore need a TV capable of receiving HD channels to view it. You can easily upgrade your kitchen TV with a Freeview HD set top box such as the Manhattan HD-T2 for around 40 (see link below).

g1Hi I have a Sony Bravia KDL-32EX403 which can receive Freeview HD. I can receive signal from Rowridge if I select South region when doing autotune. However Channel 81 (Talking Pictures) is unavailable, as are other Com 7 channels. Any ideas on a remedy gratefully received.

MikeB: I live in Braunton, North Devon, and despite retuning I cannot receive channel 81 without either breaking up or a blank black screen. just occasionally can I get a complete picture. Such a shame, as I would love to watch it much more than I can do...Very frustrating..

Francis: Whats your postcode, and are you tuned to the welsh transmitter? If you are, then you should get it if you have an HD tuner. But a postcode would be a help.

Justice Hawkins: There are no reported problems with either Waltham or Sutton Coldfield, which both broadcast Talking Pictures and show good coverage at your location. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Are you missing any other channels? Do not attempt to retune as this will only result in the missing channels being deleted and will never fix a problem with weak signal.

Brian: My elderly mother has a quite old Sony TV and connects via a standard Ariel . I recently purchased a 'Teknikal DVB T2 Full HD Box for her to watch 'Talking Pictures' but after scan it still does not pick it up.
Is there anything I can do to get this channel. Her postcode is RG2 9DL.
