I get all the COM8 channels bar 88. I am confused as all othe programs broadcast on COM 8, 5*+1, More 4 +1, BBC4 HD etc are perfect with no picture breakup etc. I have retuned umpteen times, even a manual tune on 31 which is what my local transmitter, Winter Hill broadcasts COM 8 on. My postcode is PR2

DaveD: LCN 88 is Clubland TV which is only broadcast on the GMAN multiplex, not COM8. If you mean Now 80s, it has moved to LCN 83 and continues to be broadcast on COM8. If you provide a full postcode we can see whether the GMAN mux is predicted to be available at your location. (PR2 covers a wide area and will not give a result on the coverage checker).

Looking at the Digital UK Coverage Checker for your location at www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker/main/trade/SS3+0DX/NA/0/blsliht3offhd8rtir3jaoc2f7 show that reception is variable for several of the multiplexes. Your alternative is to use Freesat rather than Freeview.

Maggie Weston:
Firstly, you need to have a wideband aerial so that you can get all the multiplexes being broadcast from Beacon Hill.
Then you need to manually retune to the channels shown at Coverage Checker - Detailed View which gives the details of the transmissions available at your location.

Whwther you are using the Fenton or Sutton Coldfield transmitter you should find Now 80's on the COM8 multiplex on channel 56. You need a Freeview HD receiver to get at==that together with a wideband aerial.
Try doing a manual tune for channel 56.
