Roy Macdona: Hi, Roy. Here is a weblink which will take you to the map containing all of the DAB transmitters on Anglesey that are on this website:-

Map of all DAB transmitters

Why not browse around the UKFREE.TV website yourself in a little more depth and you will be surprised at what you can find! Brian Butterworth, aka 'Briantist' has done an excellent job in putting all of the UK DAB transmitters on to this website. To the best of my knowledge, the Penmon transmitter is still A.M. only: 882 KHz for BBC Radio Wales, unless it has had DAB added very recently indeed!!! Richard, Norwich. PS What is this 'key box' you mention? It doesn't appear on my views of the website on my laptop computer!

Stuart Stanton: Hi, Stuart. There are no reported problems at the Waltham on The Wolds tv transmitter today and so you and your neighbours shouldn't be experiencing any issues. Richard, Norwich. PS study this website in more detail next time, thus making a 'self-diagnosis possible. Brian has put lots and lots of information on this website to help you to solve your own issues before asking for help.

Jess: Hi, Jess. This is not the Starz TV website. This website here is to help people who have difficulties receiving television and radio channels. The only requests we can respond to are those concerning tv and radio reception: we don't play any music from this website. You can text your Starz TV requests to 71000, but note that there is a one pound charge per text. Richard, Norwich.

Bay TV Swansea

robert Romano: Hi, Robert. Bay TV, the local tv channel for Swansea is only available to viewers using the Kilvey Hill transmitter. Have you tried to receive signals from Kilvey Hill at your location? It would help us to help you if you could tell us the postcode of a shop nearby, a local Post Office or local Garage so that we can check the Freeview coverage checker for Kilvey Hill coverage at your location.

Bob Dye: Hi, Bob. In early June, there were atmospheric conditions comprising a combination of high pressure and temperature inversion causing tropospheric scatter of UHF tv signals. The effect for viewers is that their Freeview televisions or set-top boxes were unable to decode the signal from their usual transmitter as a result of co-channel interference from another transmitter using the same frequencies. The result was pixelation, squeaks and/or breakup of sound, and, worst case scenario: total loss of picture and sound. Once we had arrived at mid-June, the country was once again experiencing low pressure conditions and no temperature inversions and so things returned to normal. There was high pressure at the end of last week which possibly could have caused you problems again. There is nothing that can be done about these tropospheric scatter effects other than to wait until lower pressure conditions prevail. One can, of course, study the weather forecasts so that one can see when low pressure areas are approaching. Richard, Norwich.

Robert Romano: Hi again, Robert. Whilst it is possible in the future that Bay TV Swansea may be on 'Sky', I don't have any information on when it might happen, I'm afraid. Sorry, Richard in Norwich.

Harry: Hi, Harry. I would suggest that the reason is that the main Winter Hill transmitter on Rivington Moor cannot get out very far to its East due to the terrain and so Haslingden is used to serve viewers as far South of it as Bury perhaps? Just an idea, Richard, Norwich.
