What multiplex is channel 100 on? (Freeview information)
It must be on PSB1 or PSB2 as non HD users would not see it if it's on PSB3.
And it can't be on a COM multiplex as only some people can get them.
My guess is it's on PSB2 but I may be wrong.

All the channels on Multiplexers BBC-A, BBC-B and D3+D4 are free to view and are transmitted from all transmitters and transmitter relays.
Multiplex Aqr-A, Aqr-B Mux-SND, Local, etc are only transmitted from some of the main transmitters where you get more stations for the same licence fee.
Some of these are encrypted.

P.S.
H.D. channels and Film4+1 use different code to compress the singal (BBC-B)
So older Freeview TV's can't receave them.

Dave is now on FreeSat channel 157. (As from 1/08/2017)
For some strange reason it is not listed in the 'Entertainment channels' list,
but is listed in the 'All channels' list.
Can't find 'Dave ja vu' (Dave +1) yet!

If Channel 4 had a red button service like the BBC, then they could have links to the HD channels and by-pass the EPG system.
On the BBC you can access the red button channel (EPG 601)
by press the red button and then access the channel from the menu.
So visit any Channel 4 SD channel, press 'red' and access the HD version.
You could not setup your video recorder timer to record programs though.

Re; James Livingston.
The England BBC2 regions closed down when analog TV ended.
If they closed down the BBC2 SD and HD versions of BBC2 for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland,
then they would save the costs of 3 HD and 3 SD channels on satellite.
