Say if Channel 5 HD was to go FTA, would it go on Eurobird 1 same as Channel 4 HD has done?

Briantist: Yes, I understand Channel 5's long contract with Sky, but I was just wondering where they might put Channel 5 HD once that contract has expired.

@Tom Fletcher: Loft aerials can be OK for digital terrestrial reception, it just depends on where you are. My uncle has got a TV aerial in the loft and there are also trees surrounding his house and other neighbouring house next to his house, yet the digital terrestrial reception is perfect.

@Briantist: If the UK was a lot smaller, say as small as Belgium or The Netherlands, I bet it would be much easier for us to have close to or even 100% cable coverage even in rural areas.

Wait, hang on a moment, where it says about the following digital services will be available, one of them says "BBC One HD Scotland". I thought that there was no regional or country variations just a national BBC One HD for now. Does this mean that the BBC are now starting to get the regional/country variations sorted? Also, instead of ITV1 HD, shouldn't it say STV HD instead?

Will Belmont transmitter be one of the transmitters where one or two multiplexes will remain in 2k mode even a little while after the switchover?

Mike Dimmick: Howcome then France haven't taken any steps to try and restrict their terrestrial TV signals from reaching the Kent region of England?

Braintist: How typical do you think it is that the house where my aunty lives is so close to getting Virgin Media's services but can't because the cable thingy ends at their neighbour's house and Virgin Media refuse to extend it to her house dispite being just literally next door?
