The transmitter hasn't had any current or recent reported faults and isn't currently listed for Planned Engineering.
You don't mention whether your upstairs TV has a separate aerial.
If it's the same aerial as the downstairs TV, does that have a signal?
Has the signal returned now to the Upstairs TV?
If so, it was probably the weather conditions at the time.
There has been some Temperature Inversion/Tropospheric Ducting which has been disrupting signals in various parts of the UK for some.
Essentially it results in interfering signals from other transmitters in the UK or Europe reaching you and so your wanted signals are disrupted. It won't necessarily affect all multiplexes or necessarily at the same time if more than one. It can last for seconds, minutes, sometimes hours or longer.

It's always possible these conditions may affect you again during the next 24hrs according to some current predictions.
If you continue to have problems, post back with more detail about your aerial installation(s), any distribution amp/splitter etc.

It's alongside a road which appears to be called Heol Pen-rhiw'r Eglwys aka Manmoel Rd. on Brierly Hill about halfway on a line between the centres of George Town and Ebbw Vale, but the signal is beamed primarily towards Ebbw Vale but should be good in parts of George Town, so it may not be the best transmitter depending on where you are. If you provide a full postcode we could advise further.

There's 3 transmitters. The correct grid references should be those towards the top of the page but, two of them are specified with 8 figure digits and have been incorrectly cropped when inserted above.
They are all quite low power. According to OFCOM they are
SK051093 50W VP 89.8 MHz
SJ98121054 25W HP, 25W VP 94.0 MHz
SK03491789 50W HP 50W VP 89.6 MHz
I can't readily find any information about radiation patterns. They happen to be listed in the order nearest to you.

The BBC aren't currently reporting any faults at the transmitter and as your other radios aren't affected it would suggest it's a problem with this particular set BUT were any of the other sets switched on on the exact times this occurred?
I'm wondering if it's somehow related to recent weather conditions - temperature inversion/tropospheric ducting that's been around the last couple of days. Previous recent occurrences for about a week clearing by the end of December 23rd. Affected FM, DAB & DTV variously. Current predictions suggest it should have cleared up after tomorrow.
Have you forced a rescan of the 12B multiplex?

According to BBC Engineering you should be able to receive at least the Block 10C: 213.360 MHz and Block 11B: 218.640 MHz multiplexes from the Ashbourne House transmitter just to the east of Northallerton.
Also the BBC National Mux Block 12B: 225.648 MHz from the Bilsdale Quarry mast to your East.
You should also supposedly get the 11B mux from Eston Nab to your NE.
Also the 12B mux from Pontop Pike to your N of NNW, and from Emley Moor to your South.
Another source suggests the D1 mux on Block 11D: 222.064MHz is being transmitted from the Bilsdale Quarry mast and also the SDL mux Block 11A: 216.928 MHz.
Both have also been added to Eston Nab until better coverage is operational at Bilsdale.

The transmitter updates that appear here depend on updates to a BBC Engineering page which has had no update since New Years Eve, I would imagine due to the Bank Holiday etc..
However the BBC's individual transmitter page does show the BBC reporting a fault -
The transmitter was off-air from 7:49:03pm to 10:28:26pm on 2nd Jan 2022 due to a fault.
Your signals should be back now. IF you retuned when you had no signal (which is never a good idea) it will have most likely just cleared your correct tuning and you'll need to retune again to get your correct tuning back.

I'm afraid the site owner hasn't had the time to correct some of the errors that have occurred on this site.
The reason it's quoted as Hertfordshire is because the map co-ordinates are wrong, which seems to be because they are quoted as an 8 digit grid reference which has been incorrectly truncated to 6 digits. It should be TL20626261 according to OFCOM.

Hi Carl. No transmitter issues AFAIK and the BBC haven't got anything listed. The transmitter was listed for Planned Engineering w/c 13/12/21.
There has been some tropo around however, some the last few days but that should now have cleared. There was also some for around a whole week in mid-December which didn't clear until after the 23rd. HTH.
