Glad you had a wideband aerial fitted. However, your signal strength is too high now. The ideal is for a strength of between 60% and 85% on all channels. If it is lower or higher than that range you may well suffer intermittent 'loss of signal' if the tuner is getting too much or too little. An attenuator in the aerial lead behind the equipment will help. They are cheap and available in different strengths, 3dB, 6dB, 12dB, etc. You have to try the lowest first and if the signal is still too high then change to a stronger one until the reported signal strengths are within the desired range.

Your aerial is probab;y a Group A type as was used for Crystal Palace for some years. It now needs replacing with a wideband type to get the remaining channels. You may qualify for a free replacement, see Important changes to Freeview TV signals | Freeview

COMs 7 & 8 are predicted to be changed sometime between 2020 ans 2022 so it is worthwhile having your aerial system updated.
If you do not have satellite or cable then you may qualify for a free aerial change. Visit Important changes to Freeview TV signals | Freeview and look in the FAQ section.

Al Jazeera is simply a channel included in a multiplex broadcast on either channel 55 or 56. It is not the channel that is wideband but the aerial is required to be a wideband type as those channels are way outside the range your existing aerial was designed to receive. Hence the need to change the aerial, which has been agreed by Freeview.

If your Sky box is not a SkyQ one, then your existing dish will be fine for Freesat, simply switch off and unplug the Sky box - but remember that the cables from the dish have screw-in connectors. The replace the box with the Freesat one, being careful to fit the screw-in connectors properly. Then you will be able to watch Freesat programmes once it has set itself up.

Please provide a full post code so that we can check what transmitters are available in your area and what the reception conditions are like.
Please note that there are basically two types of transmitter, main one that give all the possible channels (there are 30 of those covering around 80% of the population) plus the Freeview Light transmitters covering small areas that have problems getting signals from main transmitters. The Freeview Light ones are required to carry all the PSB channels but it is entirely up to commercial broadcasters whether they pay for their channel to be on a Light transmitter. So it is not case of being embarrassing but a fact of commercial life. There are no known plans to upgrade any Freeview Light transmitter at present.

A great many locations do not have broadband of sufficient speed to stream SD TV let alone HD TV. Ofcom know that a significant proportion of people cannot get 'superfast' broadband and for watching an HD TV service you need at least 8 Mbps, more if there are other users of the same service. Many areas, not always rural ones but some urban ones too, do not get even 5 Mbps so they cannot watch SD TV via the web.
So your comments are misleading at best and not very helpful. RF broadcasting has been shown many times to be preferable to via broadband, especially if it is slow.

Is your current aerial a Group A type? If it is then it needs to be changed to a wideband type so it can receive all the available signals from Rowridge.
Take a look at hhttps://www.freeview.co.uk/tvchanges and look in the FAQ section. You may qualify for a free aerial replacement if you do not have satellite or cable services.

We need a full post code to be able to offer any advice. It could be that your local transmitter has had some work done but without the full post code we cannot tell.
You should also check all the aerial connections behind the set as far as you can towards the aerial.
