Please provide a full post code so that we can examine the reception conditions at your location.

Freesports is on Logical Channel Number 95. It is being broadcast from Sutton Coldfield on the COM8 multiplex found on Channel 35 (586.00 MHz) and that requires a device that is fitted with a DVB-T2 tuner (a Full HD Freeview device, either TV or PVR).

Check that you can get the COM8 and that you have a DVB-T2 device.

To be able to offer any meaningful assistance we need you to enter a full post code into this website. Only then can we determine what your signal reception conditions are like.

Thanks for that info, I was going by the data Briantist gives at the top of the page, so that's now out of date.

We need a full post code to be able to see what the reception is like at your location. We will also be able to tell whether there are any 4G transmissions that could affect your reception.

I don't know that model, but does it have an RF modulator? Even if it has i=one but is not used, if it is set to a frequency used by your preferred transmitter it can cause unwanted effects on your pictures. So check whether is has an RF modulator and if so what frequency it is set to use. If that is in the range beow 700 MHz, then adjust the RF modulator frequency upwards. Note that not all devices have a modulator these days, using HDMI instead.

Crystal Palace used to need a Group A aerial, it now needs a wide band type instead as Channel 55 and 56 are way outside the reception abilities of a Group A type. Contact Important changes to Freeview TV signals | Freeview for assistance. They may offer a free aerial replacement if you do not have satellite or cable.

Daniel Worthy:

That is what is often suggested by the technical contributors to this website if an initial retune does not resolve the issue. The retune made necessary by adjustments at Mendip simply required most people to do a full retune. It does not require any change to a domestic aerial system, though some communal aerial system have filters that may need adjusting.

Incidentally, the name 'Arial' refers to a type face, I think you mean an 'aerial' or an 'antenna'.

You can get advice and possibly a 'free' aerial by consulting Important changes to Freeview TV signals | Freeview As long as you don't have cable or satellite, they can usually offer a free replacement aerial.

Any new aerial should be a wide band type so it can receive all the signals now and into the foreseeable future.

They are providing the information at Digital UK | Planned engineering works

You must realise that there are over 1100 transmitters around the UK and that only some are having work done at any one time. So it is misleading to tell everybody about works that probably will not affect the majority.
