Tony Foster,Norwich.No,com7,8,9 will not come into operation until around 2013 at the earliest projected date possible. As for yer group C/D aerial in NR3 location, you may be in for a shock as SDN will be broadcast on fr 42 and unless yer group C/D aerial is a superior type antenna you may not receive it as such or receive a low quality signal on the SDN mux on fr 42.Best bet wait until Wednesday 23 November 2011 when Tacolneston goes all digital, and as such after this if yer group C/D antenna fails to pick up SDN on fr 42 or get a low quality signal, you may have to replace yer aerial with in this instance a group W wideband aerial also as extra insurance for the future com,7,8,9 mux's that are projected from 2013 onwards.

Hilary,Bradford. The BBCB (HD) multiplex yer referring to on channel 28 is from the main Belmont transmitter hence "East Yorks & Lincs".Channel 41 is the BBCB (HD) multiplex from Emley Moor mast.

Caroline,DA10 Swanscombe near Dartford. That is correct. As you earlier indicated if yer digibox only had this problem over the last week or so due to anti-cyclonic (high pressure) over the near continent and most of eastern UK generally suffered with atmospheric disturbances, the inversion effect is the most likely cause of this and as such while it lasts there is nothing that can be alleviated as such, only wind, rain and cyclonic conditions, etc,(low pressure) will relieve the effects of inversion. Secondly as you only left a partial postcode,a full postcode ascertains which main transmitters/relays covers your area,is yer aerial mounted outside on the roof, inside in yer loft or inside on or near your TV.Is it polarised horizontally facing either Crystal Palace or Bluebell Hill transmitters,or polarised vertically facing either Greenwich,Woolwich or Gravesend relays.Whatever happens after DSO2 in your area (either Wednesday 18 April 2012 or Wednesday 27 June 2012) digital signals will be increased as such considerably more so if yer on Crystal Palace (200kw) mast after DSO2,Bluebell Hill mast if you were on this will be 20kw after DSO2 (Less of an increase however if ya receiving vertical polarised relay transmissions as such). Finally,if yer digibox works normally in normal weather patterns without any inversion whatsoever you have no need to replace it unless you decide do,and as for analogue once its gone it disappears forever yet once analogue completely disappears from UK TV airspace altogether (by Wednesday 24 October 2012) hopefully the atmospherics/inversion effect should become less of a problem and possibly disappear completely but this is not guaranteed as such, wait and see come that time !

Julie,Bingley.Hard to say without a full (not partial) postcode. Is yer aerial polarised horizontally or vertically, externally or in yer loft.If it is polarised horizontally is it facing Emley Moor or are you receiving signals from Belmont. You mentioned ITV channels especially that pixellate and freezes which belong to the D3+4 multiplex, from Emley Moor this is on frequency 44,or if you are receiving D3+4 mux from Belmont this is on frequency 25.If it's polarised vertically are you receiving transmissions from either the Idle or Keighley relays instead. From Idle D3+4 is on fr 21,from Keighley this will be on fr 58.Try the reset procedure on your appliance,if it fails to work try fitting an attenuator as there is a possibility you may have too much signal.

Tim C.Try bang on midnight up to 1am in the early hours of Wednesday morning 23 November 2011 roughly over 6 hours from now,but you have to be quick, blink and you miss it.BBC2 analogue already dissappeared around 12:25am (0025) on Wednesday 9 November 2011,so between BBC1,ITV1,Channel 4 and Channel 5 either one of those will go 1st,2nd,3rd,4th in no particular order though.Look through tonights programme schedules in relation to the four analogue stations currently left at Tacolneston mast my predictions that the first to go may be BBC1 around 12:01am (0001) as the film "Away from Her" is between 11:45pm (2345) & 1:30am (0130),second to go may be Channel 5 around 12:04am (0004) programme on by then is "CSI:Crime Scene Investigation" between 11:55pm (2355) & 12:50am (0050),third and penultimate to go may be Channel 4 around 12:12am (0012) programme on by then is "Oscar Pistorius 'Blade Runner' " between 12:10am (0010) & 12:15am (0015),fourth and ultimate to go may be ITV1 if extremely lucky the film on at that time "Gremlins" between 10:35pm (2235) & 12:35am (0035) will just about be broadcast in its entirity (not guaranteed however) and upon completion predicted to go around 12:37am (0037).I most likely will be incorrect being unpredictable anything can happen. Not forgetting the remaining (Mux1 went on Wed 9 Nov 2011,minutes after BBC2 analogue went) low powered pre-digital signals will all go after the last analogue signals go altogether minutes earlier. The five remaining new high powered digital signals will all be switched on (BBCA mux already switched on Wed 9 Nov 2011) by 1:30am (0130) at the very latest !

I will be brief as by the time my text is published the end for analogue broadcasts from the old Tacolneston mast will be near.To those eager to see analogue finally switched off channel by channel (only four left) anytime soon get yer remote controls ready and continually flip the analogue stations of BBC1,ITV1,C4,C5.The tell tale sign prior to analogue suddenly being turned off is a sudden weakening of the analogue signal, lasting between a few seconds to over 1 minute, then like a sudden flash of lightning its analogue signal is gone !
