Mark. No,that is it as far as the Aldeburgh relay is concerned.Only the public service broadcasts BBCA,D3+4,BBCB (HD) multiplexes will transmit. There will be no commercial broadcast multiplexes SDN,ArqA,ArqB on this mast, not now not ever but never !

Kevin,Manchester.Does yer digibox have a manual scanning facility. You must have picked up the BBCA multiplex from Moel-Y-Parc mast on frequency 45 instead of BBCA from Winter Hill on frequency 62.To return to yer original set up,manually delete all 21 programmes from the BBCA mux at Moel-Y-Parc and once accomplished manually scan for fr 62 which is BBCA mux from Winter Hill, hopefully the correct multiplex will slot into place. If yer unable to delete this as such, delete all yer channels then manually input all Winter Hill's multiplexes, starting with the MEN multiplex if ya can receive this on fr 57,followed by ArqB on fr 55,SDN on fr 58,D3+4 on fr 59,ArqA on fr 61 and finally of course BBCA on fr 62.This should recify everything.

Single frequency interference | Freeview Interference

Jen.NN17 2QR.Do you reside in Corby,Northamptonshire. Is yer aerial polarised horizontally and if so is it directed either at Sandy Heath (BBC1 East,Cambridgeshire & ITV1 Anglia,West) or Waltham (BBC1 East Midlands & ITV1 Central,East) or possibly either at Sutton Coldfield (BBC1 West Midlands & ITV1 Central,West) or maybe Oxford (BBC1 South,Oxford & ITV1 Meridian,North).Try manually scanning the TV you stated that is affected by inputting the affected multiplex as such which ya mentioned is multiplex 2 now known as D3+4 mux,if you are on Sandy Heath D3+4 multiplex is on frequency 24 or on Waltham D3+4 mux is on fr 54,if you receive Sutton Coldfield then mux D3+4 is on frequency 46 or in the case of Oxford multiplex D3+4 is on frequency 60.Give it a try and see if it works.

Kayla,Norwich. That aerial you mentioned is absolutely useless, did you buy it from Argos? If it does not work to your expectations and ya still have the receipt, send it back and claim a refund.Hard to say without a full postcode, yer best bet is to purchase a proper external antenna,if yer on Tacolneston and your aerial is mounted for horizontal polarisation, then either a Yagi 18E group E aerial,or X beam XB16E group E antenna,or even a group W wideband (OK on Tacolneston) will give satisfactory results, far better than the SLX gold internal aerial you stated earlier.

Jimm Hall,Kidderminster.Yes,either a group W wideband aerial or even a group K semi-wideband aerial (optimised for the lower/middle frequencies) is sufficient to receive all transmissions from the Bromsgrove relay. The group A aerial scenario from Bromsgrove was prior to switchover in the Wrekin transmitter area and its dependent relays,so yes it is a wee bit misleading the point you addressed.

Christina McCaffrey,Bedford.Hard to say without a full postcode.Single frequency interference could be the issue here. The BBCA mux on Sandy Heath is on frequency 27,is your loft aerial polarised horizontally in which case it will be receiving transmissions as such from the main Sandy Heath transmitter. If it's polarised vertically then your transmissions will come from a local relay as such.

Another experiment i carried out earlier today in relation to the elusive ArqA multiplex on frequency 53 from Belmont.Having to amplify my signals with my indoor antenna after temporarily deleting all my channels to carry out my experiment as such i managed to pick up the ArqA mux at Belmont (fr 53) but the hotspot for this signal is almost in the middle of my bedroom having to hold the small aerial in my hand and getting armache again in the process, soon as i repeated this with unamplified signals (antenna plugged back in set-top box) the received ArqA mux from Belmont kept breaking up,pixellating and disappearing into "No signal" mode.So the conclusion here is are the ArqA and ArqB mux's on the Belmont transmitter broadcasting on a different lower level (height, not signal strength) or at a different parameter than the BBCA,D3+4,BBCB (HD),SDN mux's which appear to be broadcast on the same level and at all directions on the mast itself. If i were to commit to Belmont fully (use Emley Moor in emergencies only,ie,inversion conditions) then for me i will have to consider whether to diplex two rooftop aerials a group A Yagi 18A for all but two mux's (excluding ArqA and ArqB) with a group C/D Yagi 18C/D or group E X-Beam XB16E for the ArqA and ArqB mux's higher up the frequency band.It is something for me to consider, however until Bilsdale switches over in September 2012 i have not made a final decision which transmitter i will fully commit to until that time arises (considering Winter Hill possibly?),but as Emley Moor is a nearby transmitter and a powerful one come to that,i use this mainly for emergencies with my current indoor set-top aerial.

ChrisW,Otley. If you look up the ATV Aerials and Television of Sheffield website and a very good website by a very good reputable aerial retailer themselves, either a group B Yagi 18B or group B X-Beam XB16B,using satellite grade copper-copper black or brown co-ax cable and fitted with a brass co-ax plug, will possibly give you a very good likelyhood of receiving Emley Moor transmissions, bearing in mind the polarisation is horizontal on this mast.

In relation to my above text, carrying out the experiment on the elusive ArqA mux on fr 53 at Belmont earlier, with my indoor set-top aerial amplified on this occasion,i forgot to add that the signal quality peaked at 99% while the signal strength peaked at only 51%.
