Gordon Britton,Mark S,Andrew Clarke.One possibility here is atmospherics or inversion effect as at this moment in time here in Halifax HX2 9JY while im typing this text to the above affected people,i am watching the Chelsea v Napoli football game on fuzzy snowy analogue ITV1 on three different South East England transmitters,Crystal Palace London Carlton/LWT on ch 23,Heathfield Meridian Maidstone on ch 64 and even Dover also Meridian Maidstone on ch 66 (All with and without signal amplification as such).These analogue transmissions travelling to my location can still occasionally occur but hopefully once analogue in the UK (TV analogue that is) ceases by Wednesday 24 October 2012 all digital TV transmissions after this date will suffer less interferences as such and possibly even disappear altogether but it is not guaranteed as such !

If i may add briefly it is atmospherics/inversion at work not any faults from any transmitters as such !

Brian G.Yes it is atmospherics/inversion that is the cause as while im typing this i am receiving fuzzy analogue signals from Crystal Palace,Heathfield and Dover transmitters up here in Halifax near to the Yorkshire/Lancashire border !

Linda,Poole.Try manually scanning the Mux 2 multiplex on channel 32 on Rowridge is this the transmitter you are on.

To all the above.It is atmospherics or the inversion effect that is the current cause of reception difficulties not the transmitters as such !

Solent Viewer.I would look up inversion effect.Also there is a possibility as you mentioned that Rowridge's Mux C on channel 37 may have been temporarily swamped by the analogue Channel 5 signal from Crystal Palace.It is a possibility !

Solent Viewer.What i forgot to add is that the analogue Channel 5 signal from Crystal Palace uses channel 37 as well !

Just Me,Burton on Trent.I would look up inversion effect as the atmospherics due to this new high pressure is playing havoc with the frequencies and not a transmitter fault as such !

Peter McMahon,Craigavon.Your best bet is to wait until nearer the time of DSO for Divis.Divis will after DSO2 come Wednesday 24 October 2012 become an all group A transmitter and as such you only need to use a group A aerial on this mast if you reside within a poor/marginal reception area within Divis itself.Only in a rare case can a group K be a substitute for a group A antenna on an all group A transmitter.If you cannot wait then you can buy a group K Yagi or X Beam instead and continue to watch Mux C on channel 48 right up until DSO2 or get a group A Yagi or X Beam now but miss out on Mux C until DSO2 (ArqA after DSO2).It is entirely up to you.
